In lionville Chester County we had an accident on route 100 southbound right at 113. It is cleared. All lanes back opened so traffic moving better right there in Chester County. Outside live in northeast philadelphia this woodhaven road. You can see the construction as cleared has cleared westbound all lanes opened right here and eastbound the right lane had been blocked so still causing some problems. Once again, this fire is coming from a building at 13th and chancellor streets in center city. Thats just north of Philadelphia City hall. It broke out at 4 30 this morning, so just about 30 minutes ago and quickly went to three alarms. We are told that the flames are coming from a building that is under construction but you can see those intense flames shooting out of that structure, again, at 13th and chancellor streets in center city philadelphia. A maniac a caused of killing his live in girlfriend an College Professor on a mississippi campus is dead. Erin ohearn has been following this story all night. Shes got the latest. Good morning, erin. Reporter good morning, tam. It is a disturbing story. After an intense day long manhunt and terrified students were kept on lockdown for hours, the suspect shannon lamb who as you mentioned was wanted in two homicides shot and killed himself. Now, 45yearold lamb was a College Instructor who police say shot and killed a fellow professor Ethan Schmidt at the delta state campus in mississippi. During the first hours of the Police Search for the suspect, lamb, terrified students and teachers hunkered down in classrooms for hours as the campus was put on lockdown. Now, armed officers went through buildings checking under tables and desks. The lockdown was lifted hours later but security remained tight. Investigators say lamb is a suspect in the slaying of 41yearold amy paren at the time of this accident who was found dead in the home she shared with lamb. Officials say lamb died from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Its unfortunate that this had to happen. We didnt want it to happen this way but it wasnt our intentions for it to happen this way but unfortunately he was the one that made that decision. Also developing, a man on a bike shot and killed another man in south philadelphia overnight. Police tell action news the gunfire erupted at south 24th and montrose streets at 11 00 last night. Police found the victim lying in the road suffering from several gun shot wounds. Law pronounced dead at the hospital. Several cars in the area were riddled with bullet holes. Witnesses saw the shooter take off from the scene on a bike. Someone stabbed a man near Rodney Square in wilmington, delaware. It happened at tenth and king streets at 10 00 last night. Police say the victim was stabbed multiple times in the upper body and was taken to christiana hospital. No word yet on his condition. It is now 5 05 and a hearing to determine if theres enough evidence to put former harrisburg mayor steven reed on trial continues today. Authorities say reed stole the funds to purchase artifacts like a vampire kit asuit of armor an sarcophagus. Reed is facing over 400 criminal counts including theft of public funds bribery and receiving stolen property. The 65yearold democrat left office in january of 2010. Together is going to begin in many of these areas on sunday, the 20th of september. This is video of the unruly passenger being taken off a plane that landed in indianapolis on sunday. The American Airlines flight was headed to chicago and made the unscheduled landing after police say the passenger started a fight with another woman sitting in front of her. The flight crew tried to restrain the first woman but she struck a flight attend dander so she is now facing several charges. This is also new this morning. A maryland woman will face manslaughter charges. Shes accused in the death of her young son who died in somewhat bizarre circumstances. Police say this past may she placed her threeyearold son in a playground swing and then kept him there for two days. Authorities discovered the dead child, his mother still pushing him in some swing. An autopsy determined that the child died of hypothermia and dehydration. She has a long history of mental illness. Police in kansas city just released this video of a wooden shipping crate. Police on the case of a stolen car part ring found it inside an underground cave with two boys ages four and six inside. The cave was at the back of a repair shop. Inside the crate were old car bench seats, other random car parts blankets and dirt. Workers say after eating breakfast the two would go back to the cave to take a nap. Police say 33 found the boys covered in dirt and filth eating dry rahman noodles with their bear dirty hands and not wearing shoes. Their 24yearold some other now in custody.
