White was a School Resource officer that made his mark on thousands of students over the years. We learned this afternoon that he apparently took his own life. A smiling face that will be remembered. 44yearold officer tom white an eight year veteran died off duty monday afternoon. His truck collided with a van on nottingham way, but the cause of death was not the crash but a selfinflicted gunshot wound. Personally i didnt know my wife went to school with him and she was supset when she found out he passed. And he went above and beyond interacting with the kids. He was the lead for the middle school and codirector of safety town where kids learned safety before entering school. Many of the students wore blue in his honor. He was beloved by the children. He was a really good man and helped a lot of people and cared about everybody. And wanted good for everybody. Its a real shame that he had to die so young ill really miss him. One of his children attended reynolds and the recipients of many awards. He received honors in 2011 for pulling people out of a burning building and talked to Connor Williams when his aunt died in march. He brought me into guidance and we talked and he made me feel like i was at home. We will miss you officer white.
