Mike mcqueary claims the school retaliated against him for helping prosecutors convict Jerry Sandusky of child molestation. Today mcqueary testified he saw sandusky sexually abuse a boy in a team shower in 2001 and then he reported it to joe paterno and two school administrators. Mcqueary says sandusky was allowed to continue using Team Facilities for years after that until he was charged with child molestation in 2011 but after sanduskys arrest mcqueary was put on paid leave and ordered to stay away from team property. Hes seeking 4 million in damages. Professors are marching the picket lines for a Third Straight day as state universities in pennsylvania. The faculty strike began after contract talks broke down. The faculty says it has reached a tentative agreement with Pennsylvania State s higher education. They say they are taking some concessions as regards to salary and benefits in exchange for eliminating some of the ideas they did not like but again, this strike that began at 5 oclock wednesday morning is now over this afternoon and that involves 14 public state colleges across pennsylvania. You can see the upper 70s across the majority of our area. The exception beach haven cape may with that easterly wind a little bit cooler since the water temperature is only in the upper 60s. Right now as we look at october, so far were again more than halfway through the month, were running 4 degrees above normal and precipitation were down about an inch from that normal, so we can kick these temperatures down a little bit to get a little more fall feeling around here and also we need the desperately need some rain around here. Well get a little bit of it tonight. Again you can see some of that rain entering from the west. The clouds are about to push into parts of western Chester County, eastern berks county and again were not looking at thunderstorms overnight but it is going to be some scattered showers entering philadelphia, delaware, southern new jersey, Lehigh Valley by 9 oclock tonight and notice the drop in at that into the 50s at that hour. Today was the third day of the walkout that disrupted classes for more than 100,000 students. We learned just a short time ago that a tentative contract agreement has been reached right now. Reporter monica and brian, this came after three days of on and off negotiations in harrisburg between the Chancellors Office and the Faculty Union representing those 5500 teachers across the pennsylvania system. It is the first time theyve had a strike by the fact too he in 34 years in this pennsylvania system. As you look at some of the things we shot here today, West Chester University was gearing up for their homecoming weekend with full plans for full ceremonies and services at a Football Game over the weekend. But now theres great cheer here on the campus. Weve just had a chance to talk to just a few people a few minutes ago. Many of the students were out supporting the teachers but now that apparently theyve had a tentative agreement heres a statement from dr. Kenneth mash the leader of the union that was on strike and i quote here our primary goals were to preserve quality education for our students protect our adjuncts from exploitation and make sure the variety of faculty work are respected. Weary leaved to have an agreement there he preserves quality Public Higher Education in pennsylvania and allows our members to get back into the classroom where they belong. Again a great deal of relief here after this three day strike suddenly ending late today. There were few signs of it coming to an end this quickly. Now, ironically, ironically, going to Governor Tom Wolf was here in west chester early this afternoon. He told several students who asked him to come to the campus that i hope this thing will be over very soon and indeed, the governor who is not the direct point person on negotiating these contracts was right. A south Jersey School bus driver lab arrested on child pornography charges. 55yearold robert lynch is a bus driver for the moorestown School District and moorestown friends school. Police say they found child pornography on Digital Media devices inside his home on Austin Avenue in the then dora section of gloucester township. Lynch is now charged with third degree possession of child pornography. He was released on his own recognizance. Three men arrested for the attack on postal carrier in Delaware County that happened back in january are lined bars. Mark white derek dawson and joseph merrian are charged with the assault in morton. The pennsylvania torn general say the postal worker was punched more than 10 times after being confronted by these alleged attackers. The attorney general said it started when one of the suspects asked the postal carrier why he was blocking the road with his mail truck. Each of the three suspects remains behind bars. Philadelphia police and the fbi are hoping to catch this suspected bank robber. Officials say he went into the Wells Fargo Bank on south 13th street in south philadelphia yesterday armed with a gun. So speeds like just 10 Miles Per Hour coming west of bensalem and route one this afternoon. The westbound turnpike looks like it normally does during the morning commute. Not a pleasant experience this afternoon. On the northeast extension of the turnpike a truck has broken down northbound just beyond the midcounty toll plaza. Thats in the center lane causing which some delays on the eastbound turnpike. Broken down truck in blocking bells mill. Stick to germantown avenue as a an alternate. Getting into new jersey still have construction theyre saying until 8 oclock tonight along 95 at the scudder falls bridge. Youre seeing delays in both directions. Really want to stick with route one the super highway to get into or from new jersey instead of 95 there in bucks county this afternoon. In Mercer County there was a crash along 195 westbound just cleared out so speeds are on the uptick there but in Haddon Heights watching a crash right by lennys driving school.
