Reporter that is right brian, the Accident Investigation Division and when he was knocked off the bike by a passing car. He was able to get to his feet to try to stop the vehicle. And the vehicle proceeded away. Reporter police say the off duty cop identified himself as a Police Officer and the officer fired his gun an unknown amount of time and one bullet shattered the Temple UniversityHospitals Services center that was closed at the time. And the driver turned himself in later. Police cordoned off the car on the 600 block of cambria. We could see front end damage and a bullet hole in the side. A few blocks away a Police Vehicle was positioned outside of his home. It was fortunate nobody was injured as a result of this. Based on the shots fired. And you dont know where these bullets are going to land. The Police Officer suffered minored injuries when he fell off the motorcycle. Aid will investigate the collision and internal affairs will decide if the officer was justified when he fired his weapon. Brand new at 4 00 we learn the name of the man shot and killed at a reading convenience store. Police say that 49yearold karl walker was shot at the getty mart just after 1 00 this morning. He tried to drive himself to the hospital but apparently died on the way and police say they found him in his car. And police say there is a second shooting victim that made it to the hospital. Walter perez has more coming up on this story at 5 00 tonight. A man found dead at a south philadelphia home was beaten and strangled and it was 78yearold joseph daly a navy veteran. He may have been murdered early monday morning and police say his van is missing and they are looking for his killers or killers. Vernon odom will have the full story tonight at 5 00.
