Thats right and some storms getting close. Theres one in Lancaster County well show in you a second. Satellite in the Weather Center right now shows you theres a little bit more cloud cover around this morning than there was yesterday. Overall we expect clouds to mix with sun and that is going to be the story today but really just the beginning of it. We also have heat and humidity building and theres going to be some of this around today, isolated but drenching showers and thunderstorms and right now we have one out by lincoln, pennsylvania, and this one as you can see is really plowing toward the east. It looks like it will be in northwestern Chester County probably in another half hour or so. Honey brook right in the center of your screen is right on the western edge of the county and then pottstown a little farther after that should this maintain its current trajectory and strength. And its very humid out there with a lot of us looking at dewpoints in the 70s. As we go into the afternoon, its going to be a hot one. Were actually looking at hot and humid conditions and well probably get up to little higher numbers than those probably getting up to 93 for a high this afternoon. And the next several days are going to be very uncomfortable. Today 93. Tomorrow 92. Thursday 95 and look at the heat index values. Thats about how much rainfalls the entire month of july in paris. Video here shows water cascading dune metro station stairwell. Look at that. Dozens of stations were closed because of flooding. Okay, so, were in for some storms this week. Is it going to look like that. They could be drenchers, yeah. Its not out of the question to get in a hot humid air mass, flash flooding could be possible. Best chance later in the week thursday and friday but as we take a look at Storm Tracker right now most of the area is dry t the only storm weve got on the board currently is that one out in Lancaster County which is now right in lincoln, pennsylvania, and getting a little closer to areas just north of honey brook Chester County and areas close to pottstown might pick that up in after half hour or so. Most of us just dealing with the building humidity and the building warmth. That is the double combo that we have today. 77 degrees currently in philadelphia and already the dewpoint is at 70 in philadelphia. Any time you get 70degree or better dewpoints it means oppressive humidity and youll really feel it as the sun gets up over the horizon particularly if it breaks out from behind the clouds. Winds are currently at nine, the ocean temperature still a mild 73. Satellite and radar showing you a lot more cloud cover around overall today. Well probably see some sun early and then its clouds and sun mix and at times we will be looking at some instability pop up showers and thunderstorms and where they hit they could produce drenching downpours, what with the high humidity today. Its also going to be hot. 84 degrees by 10 oclock. 88 by noon. By 3 oclock, thats your high, 93 degrees and it will likely feel like its in the mid to upper 90s this afternoon as we go through that hottest period of day. And after about two or 3 oclock that would be the best chance of a shower or a thunderstorm popping. Well show you more on that in a second. 90, its not going to be 993, its going to be 93 in philadelphia. That would be a little bit too much. 92 in wilmington, 87 in allentown, 88 in reading and 82 down the shore. Dewpoints, yeah, theyre going to be a problem today with much of the region, even some areas that are still in the 60s right now climbing into the 70degree dewpoint level later this afternoon and this evening. I know the model has us dropping to 66 in philadelphia but the idea is that the humidity builds and it stays pretty sticky this afternoon. So, lets cover the storm story. Well, right now we dont have a whole lot out there. By 9 oclock, its possible that a few things are popping. But really the big issue will be in the afternoon and while these will not be everywhere today, where they hit they will produce those drenching downpours and perhaps some strong gusty winds. Model wants this mostly in the northern half of the region this afternoon but i think everyone should watch out. Down the shore probably a little bit more of a problem because of the maritime layer protecting you a little bit. Then we go overnight into wednesday morning. Looks like wednesday starts out dry but again in the afternoon, some spotty popup drenching downpours and maybe some gusty thunderstorms and more of that possible on thursday so what to expect the next three days . Well, we have issues. Its going to be hot and humid with heat index values at times in the afternoon in urban centers making it feel like anywhere from 100 to close to 105 on thursday. Drenching storms possible and maybe a couple of severe storms mixed in. Your exclusive accuweather 7day forecast today 93 hot and humid with thunderstorms possible here and there. Tomorrow a spotty storm, humid again, 92 and 95 on thursday and ive got the red bar because strong storms are possible and the humidity is going to be worse on thursday. Then friday its warm. There might still be some possible downpours here and there on friday but obviously not quite as hot, still humid and were still looking at gradual it improvement on saturday and then sunday looks like a nice day. Slight chance of a popup thunderstorm on saturday but that may go off the board. 993 got to be a record breaker. Not a record breaker for me. I have worse for that.
