The crack was found through a support beam called car body bolster. Maintenance crews bound to cars with bolster cracks, 58 more with cracks in anarch jointing vent. Today septa is down about 30 to 40 cars during their peak travel time this morning. The concern is the cracks begin in the vents and spread. Septa officials do not have a time line on how long those repairs will take.
