We have a fatal accident overnight thats causing big traffic troubles this morning in northampton county. I78 eastbound shut down between route 412 and route 33. Stick to 22 eastbound as your alternate. A fatal accident in the overnight hours and this highway still shut down right now in northampton county. Lets go outside live on i95. This is between academy and woodhaven. Northbound traffic right here as you head towards bucks county weve got police activity. We can see a number of Police Officers on the scene blocking the right lane so traffic already slowing just a little bit as you pass the scene. Switching live right now to the vine street expressway, still shut down in both directions for that overnight construction. Should be clear by about 5 00 a. M. So just a little bit longer and it should reopen and then crews return again tonight at 11 oclock and shut the vine down in both directions so watch for that continuous overnight construction here. In berlin Camden County weve got a downed traffic signal thats causing a problem right here in Camden County on the white horse pike. Thats route 30 westbound past route 73. And its blocking the left turn lane so you can see route 30 itself the white horse pike is opened but the left turn lane causing the problem this morning. So watch out for that as youre headed out. Developing overnight members of a South Jersey Church are vowing to pick up the pieces after a devastating fire. Action News ReporterAnnie Mccormick is live at temple praise ministries on river road in pennsauken. Good morning, annie. Reporter good morning, tamala. And theyre already doing that. Take a look behind me. You can see members of the Church Standing outside. Theyve been boarding up windows to the basement. That is where firefighters say that the bulk of the fire was when they were fighting it. Theyre also boarding up the doors as well to this very old church. Now, were told that this was a fast moving fire. This is video from the fire from earlier this morning. Were told it broke out just before midnight inside of temple praise ministries. When firefighters responded they focused on the basement of the church and say that tables and chairs stacked downstairs made it tough for those firefighters to maneuver around and to get that blaze under control. They say it took about 45 minutes. Now, they called a second alarm to bring in extra manpower. Now, nearly a dozen firefighters then responded. Well, the grandson of the pastor and the fire chief of pennsauken spoke to us. The church, they say, is 150 years old. The church can be he rebuilt. The church itself is the people, its the community, its the togetherness, its the camaraderie we have as we come together to worship god and thats all the church is, you know. Its a very old church. We had a fire here a number of years ago. But its stood the test of time. And thats a testament to the way its built. Theyll be back in soon enough for sure. Now, the good news is we are told by the fire chief that there are no reports of any injuries to any firefighters or any civilians. At this time there is no word on a cause. A standoff dime a peaceful end in franconia township Montgomery County late last night. It lasted about nine hours. A distressed armed drunk man was barricaded in his home all that time. S. W. A. T. Officers finally took him into that custody. The standoff with the 54yearold man forced people on Bartlett Court from their homes. Police say the individual was going through some personal issues. A friend of his had called Police Telling them he was in a crisis. We are awaiting word on any charges for the man involved. Philadelphia police are working three unsolved murders in the city. A person upset had to be restrained at a shooting scene in south philadelphia. Man was shot to Death Outside of a chinese takeout there on the 1800 block of snyder avenue. Another shooting happened in an alley on the 5800 block of fernwood in southWest Philadelphia and in the third case man was shot in the 2900 block of north Howard Street in kensington. A verizon truck driver rushed him to the hospital but he died. And the search is on for a reading teenager believed to be armed and dangerous. 16yearold Stephon Damien Brown is accused of shooting two people at a York High SchoolFootball Game on friday night. The victims now are in stable condition. Police issued a warrant yesterday afternoon for browns arrest. Brown is also a suspect in several other shootings in york. Anyone who knows of browns whereabouts is umped to call police. New this morning a federal Appeals Court will not toss charges out against new jersey senator bob menendez. An attorney for the indicted democrat had asked a Third Circuit court of appeals in philadelphia to review a previous ruling that allowed the case against him to move forward but that request was denied yesterday.
