Reporter at this point Collegeville Police have not released the identity of the student, but ursinus sent out a tweet to the students and faculty to let them know that a fatal pedestrian accident that was along this stretch of roadway did involve a student. This happened at 6 30 on main street near 6th avenue. The student was struck and killed after being hit by the vehicle. The vehicle stopped at the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and the witness cooperated fully with police. Late last night around 11 30, Ursinus College released this tweet.
