A car hit a mother and her two Young Children in ocean county. This happened on route nine in lakewood. Lets go on over to action News Reporter katherine scott. Shes live in our satellite center. Shes got the very latest. Good morning, katherine. Reporter good morning, tam. I spoke to police this morning and they tell me a mother and her two young daughters were injured. The mother is listed in stable condition, her daughters are both in serious condition at the hospital. This happened last night around 10 oclock in lakewood. You can see the baby stroller flipped over in the middle of the street. Police say the mother and her two children who are approximately one and four years old were somewhere in the roadway by river avenue when the accident happened. All three were taken to the trauma unit at Jersey Shore University medical center. The driver of the Lincoln Town Car did remain at the scene. At this point police say theres no indication the driver was driving under the influence and theres no word if speed was a factor in this crash. Accident investigators are still speaking to witnesses and piecing together what happened. So far theres no word if any charges will be filed. Police say a West Philadelphia funeral parlor was operating without a license and a tip led police to a grisly discovery there. They found three bodies, two of them decomposing. At the hawkins funeral parlor at 53rd and vine streets. One of the bodies was placed on a gurney without being embalmed according to investigators. They say the parlor was in a deplorable condition with a bag of human remains discarded on the ground. At this point no one is charged with any crime. Hear what the owners have to say about the accusations at 5 00 a. M. A 59yearold man is now charged in a hit and run that killed an off Duty Philadelphia Police officer. Officer lamar poole was driving his motorcycle home from work on sunday morning. He was hit by a car in northeast philadelphia. He later died at the hospital. Officials believe that louis having will was driving drunk at the time. According to police, having will got out of his car after the accident, saw officer poole on the ground and then tried to flee. Six High School Football players in north jersey have been sentenced for sexually hazing four teammates. The players from sayreville war memorial must complete 50 hours of Communities Service and probation. They will not have to register as sex offenders. A family judge a Family Court Judge handed down the sentence after the players pleaded guilty to child endangerment and hazing. The hazing happened in the locker room. A seventh player is awaiting trial in family court. And this is new. A now retired Pennsylvania Liquor control board employee is accused of taking bribes from suppliers. Federal Authorities Say james short of harrisburg served as marketing director of the plcb and played a major role in deciding what showed up on store shelves.
