The announcement was made to revive the property as a hotel and casino. It shows that Atlantic City is moving forward and not giving up on casinos and what hard rock has to offer, its more than just a casino. Hard rock purchased it in march from billionaire carl icahn. A close friend of President Trumpd it from bankruptcy court. They are looking towards the future. This is an iconic city and with this announcement it sends the signal for other people to come down and invet in the city too. Initial estimates put the purchase at 100 million. They hope that hard rock will attract crowds and an economic boost to Atlantic City. Its wonderful to have them here. 3,000 jobs and its a wonderful day for everybody. You see an area of low pressure warm front, cold Front Combination pushing straight at us in the overnight hours in particular. This brings heavy rain and perhaps gusty thunderstorms as well. The initial affects of this will not be until the overnight hours and into tomorrow morning. Tomorrow morn is when the flood watch we are looking for kicks in and this is across most of the i95 corridor and up to the northern suburbs does not include the southern reaches and youll get heavy rain but the sandy soil took in a lot of previous rain in the past weeks, but not up here in wilmington and hilly dirt and rock soil. Those kinds of ground cover dont take the rain as well as the rest. The other issue is the Severe Weather threat and that looks from wilmington down south to delaware and right along the counties in new jersey that abut the delaware bay. Cape may county and cumberland and parts of Cape May County. Anything that pops up tomorrow afternoon could be Strong Enough to create wind gusts. And this could go farther up north. And hail is not out of the question and even an isolated chance of an isolated tornado. A good looking day today. Temperatures up to 62 and a slow climb to 70 around dinner time tonight and then the temperatures fall overnight and the rain moves into. They dragged them into a secure section of the barracks and frein led police on a 48 day manhunt before his capture. There is word of a shakeup on the National Security council. Its President Trumps first major crisis overseas and his administration is condemning the attack that killed dozens of people and the white house is placing the blame on his predecessor. If you are out later tonight youll want the jacket. As we look at future tracker 6 this is tomorrow morning. When we are on the air well look at showers and heavy downpours and a couple of thunderstorms popping through. By 7 00 more of the same. Thunderstorms here and a big line from the south. Some of these storms on future tracker 6 tomorrow morning could be of the severe variety and then 9 00 heavy rain in areas and a few thunderstorms are possible. Then as we get later into the afternoon less rain overall and 3 00 a few downpours here and there and by 8 00 most of the support is moving to the north and east and we wind down to just showers. The Severe Weather risk. The biggest chance is from wilmington delaware and southern delaware and into the Eastern Shore of maryland. The southern tip of new jersey and Cape May County and cumberland and salem the basic areas. For now its pretty consistent and that is the best chance of storms, at least the best chance of storms that produce Severe Weather parameters and damaging wind gusts. A couple of things to talk about and think about. The first is flooding rainfall. Heavy rain totalling 1 to 2 inches and the creeks are running high and so are the streams and its easy to get the 1 to 2 inches tomorrow riding across the surface and into the streams and roadways and creek and stream banks. The other package is the extreme weather and we are expecting a squall line and could produce damaging wind gusts and an isolate the chance of a tornado with wind shear that comes in from different directs than could produce rotating storms and that gives you an isolated tornado. Heavy rain on thursday and possible flooding maybe severe thunderstorms mixed in and the best chance in the morning and afternoon. 63 is the high.
