The Delaware County district attorneys officers in conjunction with the Haverford Township Police are offering a 5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the shooter of john le. Reporter john le was at this pizza shop picking up an order his plan to walk a short distance to a friends haverford apartment but along the way he crossed paths with that man in red who had a gun. Some sort of confrontation, was it a robbery . We dont know that yet. His phone is missing. His phone is missing, yes and when we look at the video, it appears that a cell phone is in the shooters hand as hes running away. Reporter less than an hour before the deadly encounter someone matching the description of the shooter had been confronted by neighbors in the overbrook section of philadelphia for acting in a suspicious manner. Questioned by the neighbors the man responded with gunfire. I heard about 15 shots at least. Reporter remarkably no one was injured in that earlier incident. John les family says the 29yearold temple grad had recently landed a job as an accountant. Several times a week after work le could be found here fairmount parks sevenly woods disk golf course. John was a great guy. Always a smile on his face very softspoken. Reporter softspoken but passionate about disk golf so much so he recently contacted an Athletic Shoe company with a proposal. We continue to follow developments from bensalem where police have located the mother of a seven month old child left at a hotel this weekend. Authorities found 34yearold Erica Avila Lopez at Einstein Medical Center in philadelphia. Officials say she was undergoing a medical procedure but they havent given any details. Police say her baby was discovered alone in a motel room just after 12 00 noon yesterday. Surveillance video shows lopez leaving that hotel at 4 oclock saturday afternoon. Cleaning crews discovered the baby along with crack, heroin and drug paraphernalia. The baby was evaluated, now in protective custody. Lopez faces charges including endangering the welfare of a child. A stray bullet hit a 17yearold girl sitting in the living room of a home in feltonville late last night. The shooting happened at midnight along b street. An off duty officer told police he saw six men standing outside just before the shooting. They exchanged words. And then some of the men went into a home, came out with guns and started firing. The victim was that rushed to Saint Christophers Hospital but has since been released. Fire damaged three homes in the north wood section of philadelphia late this morning. Firefighters were called to the 5300 block of horrocks street just before 11 00. Crews arrived to find smoke coming from a twostory building. You can see the extensive damage caused by the flames. They spread to two more homes. Fortunately nobody was hurt in all of this and investigators have not said yet what sparked the blaze. Is one of the countrys most notorious drug dense soon to disappear . A judge has found man guilty in the murder of a bensalem teenager three decades ago. Today 56yearold george shaw was convicted of third degree murder in the death of barbara rowan.
