Looming strike. At this time discussions have been progressing. However, there is still many unresolved issues. We are hopeful that an agreement can be reached if both parties remain engaged at the bargaining table. A strike would be a disaster. No city buses, trolleys or subways will be in service. Only Regional Rail and a few suburban buses and trolleys will run. This would be a serious thing if it lasted, if it happens and if it lasts through election day but im thinking of the hundreds of thousands of commuters, people who depend on mass transit for all kinds of things, just to live. Philadelphia 54 right now. Reading 50. Trenton 52. Allentown 54. And wilmington 51 degrees. So what a difference a day make. Temperatures generally about 14 to 25 degrees cooler than this time yesterday ahead of that front we had a surge of very warm air. So, tonight will be dry but a little bit of a chill for your trickortreat forecast. That Double Barrel high will bring us warmer weather as we head towards the middle of the week but tonight theres going to be a chill in the air. Clear skies, overnight low 30 in the cooler suburbs so a frosty night there. Philadelphia about 42 degrees and tomorrow with this high pressure, it will be seasonable. 62 degrees, good amount of sunshine and then we get the winds out of the southwest and what this will do is bring us a surge of very warm air on wednesday. This whole frontal boundary really off to the north so our high on wednesday 71 degrees. Thursday likely in the upper 70s before that cold front brings us a round of some showers and thunderstorms and then much cooler air on friday its a very similar setup to what we had over the weekend. So, the five day or the sevenday forecast showing tomorrow where we should be for this time of the year, 62 degrees which is the normal high, mixture of clouds and sunshine. On wednesday, that warmup continues. Mostly sunny skies with a high of 71 and thursday, if you liked yesterday, youll like thursday. The record high for thursday 80 set back in 1990. Were going to be close calling for a high of 78 degrees but then a cold front will move through in the afternoon. So, what that will do is bring us a risk of a few showers and thunderstorms. Future tracker showing this front likely will be a lot faster than yesterdays front so by about 2 oclock, a line of some showers and thunderstorms generally northwest of philadelphia, that will be moving through later in the afternoon and behind that system we get winds out of the northwest so that will bring us cooler conditions on friday. But friday pretty nice day. Mostly sunny skies. It will be breezy with a high of 58 degrees. On saturday, mixture of clouds and sunshine, the Philadelphia International unity cup at Citizens Bank park should be pretty good conditions for that. 60 degrees and dont forget saturday night, we end Daylight Saving time, head back to Eastern Standard Time so that means you fall back one hour when you go to bed on saturday.
