Theyre stunned and grief stricken over what happened here last night when someone walked into an apartment in the complex on the 100 block of forest avenue and shot and killed 54yearold janice trunk and the man friends say was her boyfriend, 44yearold kevin milton smith. Trunks sister learned of their murders overnight. She called me every day. We spoke every day a million times a day. Slaw a good sister. Police also arrested current temple officer marquise robinson. Hes been charged with conspiracy and abuse of a corpse. The university fired robinson yesterday. A 76yearold man is recovering at the hospital after an exchange of gunfire with new jersey state police. Troopers shot gerald sykes while responding to a 911 call early saturday in deerfield township. It turns out that troopers were at the wrong house. Sykes said he believed intruders were breaking in and so he fired his shot gun. Sykes says troopers shot first and without warning.
