Lets go to the late of the now on the investigation into the crash between a septa bus and a flatbed truck. It happened in the 7900 block of oxford avenue in the fox chase section of philadelphia. The flatbed truck was hauling a huge front end loader when it collided with a bus. Three people were sent to the hospital. Action News ReporterSarah Bloomquist is live at that scene. Sarsarah. Reporter this is viewer video in the moments after a septa bus and a truck falling a front end loader collided in the 7900 block of oxford avenue. Chris berg goes was one of the witness who rushed to help the passengers. Jumped in the front window because the front window of the bus was busted out. Reporter right. To see if everybody was all rightism the truck driver with the load had been heading up oxford toward rhawn escorted by an officer on a motorcycle. The bus driver was coming out of the fox chase bus loop making a right onto oxford. Police believe the bus driver watched the officer pass but didnt see the truck behind it and pulled into its path. Its crazy. You know, its crazy. I dont understand how a driver like that can miss that giant thing with a police escort. Doesnt make any sense. Reporter on that viewer video you can see an officer climbing on board the bus to assist. Nora mccloskey saw all this and the moments after the truck came to rest against her studio. I was in the center and it was at the corner so i was just immediately glad that i was alive but then i heard a woman screaming and then i that was startling. Reporter two of the three passengers on board and the driver went to the hospital with minor injuries. Neighbors said theyve complained that septas long accordion buses cant negotiate the loop. They expected one day there would be a crash but not like this. Its just a mess and nothing has been done about it. Reporter as we look back live, they towed away the bus. It took some time to get the truck out of here. There are still concerns about the Structural Integrity of the two buildings it crashed into and you can see firefighters are still here on the scene. In a Statement Released within the hour septa has said it has been working with the community to improve the safety around this bus loop and will continue to do so. That means there were no foreign substances in his system. Thats according to the attorney representing the childs father. Brendan was found last month in the woods about a half mile from his fathers home. David dj creato has been questioned by police but his Attorney Says theyre still waiting to get more information. We dont even have that information from the investigators yet that someone had something to do with this boys death. We have no answers about what happened to this boy and after today we have one answer that just really leads to more questions.
