We have a bit of that north and west of harrisburg but everybody else is dry locally. Satellite and radar shows you additional showers out to the west though and there is a concern during the afternoon in particular that we get a heavier shower and perhaps a couple of gusty thunderstorms winging through the region. In fact any storms that form today could be gusty with 40 to 50 Miles Per Hour gusts. Not severe category but enough to put a lot of debris in roadways and we are being asked by the National Weather service to pass along the idea of securing your trash cans or anything else that could get blown around this afternoon so that you still have it when you get home. You can see the wreckage of his vehicle there this is unfolding near ryan avenue and they still have the northbound inner drive closed as they investigate the crash. Off the ben on the eastbound side on the admiral wilson boulevard overnight construction is gone. Still have those ramp closures in Haddon Township. Tam. Thank you matt. Developing this morning we learned overnight that a house fire in bucks county was deadly and has killed a man. Erin ohearn is live in the satellite center. Shes got the very latest. Good morning erin inch good morning, tam. Tragic news to report this morning. Officials tell us that the 58yearold man who perished in the fire lived alone in his plumstead township home. Officials also say this was an extremely complicated blaze to fight and they did not find the body of that 58yearold man until several hours after they arrived on the scene. Now, Point Pleasant firefighters initially responded to the home on the 6600 block of Point Pleasant pike shortly before 8 00 p. M. Yesterday when firefighters arrived on the scene, there was heavy fire coming from the second floor and the back of the home. A short time later crews had to evacuate because of the deteriorating conditions. When it was safer for crews to go inside they searched for nearly four hours in very difficult conditions before finding the man. Their search was complicated by the collapse of the roof and the amount of belongings that were inside the home. A lot of difficulty. There was a lot of material inside the house and a lot of things in the house so the fire also had a tremendous head start. So, we had to work aggressive to get ahead of the fire. Reporter now the chief went on to say he doesnt believe this was necessarily a hoarding case but in his words he said it was close. Again, all those belongings in the home making it very difficult for firefighters to get the blaze under control. And again, the 58yearold man who lived alone in that home did perish in the fire. Storm tracker six live double scan we got a little bit of a sprinkle or shower out to the north and west of harrisburg. That may or may not push into places like reading and allentown later. If it does its not going to be a big deal. As we take a look outside we have sky six and we are looking at some sun coming up over the horizon down the shore. As ive been saying this morning i think well start out fairly bright but then the clouds will get thicker as the day goes on. 50 degrees is the current number in philadelphia starting out a bit on the cool side. 45 in allentown, 45 in reading, 47 in wilmington, 46 in trenton and upper 40s in Sea Isle City nd at the boardwalk in ac. Future tracker six shows that you during the Morning Hours there is the chance of a passing sprinkle or shower especially up north. Most of the morning looks dry though couple of clouds starting to dig in as the day goes on and then after about 2 oclock well have our eyes on the western suburbs where be there their could be some showers and perhaps some thunderstorms here or there along a line of rain coming in. So lets take a look at there. By 3 oclock or 4 oclock future tracker six does have some of this stuff popping up here or there along that line. And the big issue with this as it comes through briefly during the afternoon hours not only lightning and downpours but mainly strong gusty winds and these will be right at the base of the storms so it might be a situation where, you know, you hear some thunder things start to get breezy and then right before that rain comes you get a real big gust of wind and that could bring down some tree branches or put some debris out on roadways so you want to be careful that of. By about 6 oclock that main line is getting over to the east. Theres still a couple of sprinkles and showers around. Looks like most of the evening is dry. Cecily and adam might have something to show own Storm Tracker later tonight. This afternoon weve got that big line coming through. Mostly cloudy up in the Lehigh Valley later today after some morning sun. 64 is the high. Well be on the lookout for a shower or thunderstorm during the afternoon hours. Then down the shore mostly cloudy with a late thunderstorm possible, probably closer to the dinner hour although i would keep my eyes out after about 3 oclock or so. 66 is the high there. In philadelphia well shoot up to 69 probably by about 2 oclock or so. Dinnertime back in the 50s and that line of showers and thunderstorms will hopeful have moved through by them as we look at temperatures today, then you can see the march and the drop. 54 by 8 oclock, 64 by 11 00 69 is your high at 2 oclock and then all the way down to 57 by 5 oclock with those storms probably moving over toward the east. For the phillies tonight hoping all that rain is over. 57 though, at game time and 52 for the ninth inning so it will be breezy and chilly again tonight at the ballpark. Your sevenday from accuweather, 69 degrees, showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon with temperatures dipping later on. Tomorrow breezy and cooler, a high of 56 with a couple of showers around in the northern suburbs during the day tomorrow. Mainly dry tomorrow, though. And then friday brisk and cool, 56. The weekend looks cool, 60 on saturday, 62 on sunday. Sunday pretty pleasant though. Then we nudge those numbers up a little bit early next week and theres a chance of a shower on tuesday night and into wednesday. Okay. Okay. Lets head to dave murphy and matt pelman. We have some bright sunshine coming up over the horizon. Clouds will get thicker as the day goes on however. Take a look at satellite. You can see clouds to the west and eventually theyll start to spill through. Theres also some shower activity and while we might see a sprinkle or light shower pop through during the morning the better chance is this afternoon and eventually the tail end of that could fire up a couple of drenching downpours and maybe some gusty thunderstorms. And there is a drivers alert this afternoon for gusty thunderstorms that could put some debris in roadways and youre being asked to secure trash cans this morning and other things that might get blown around as those storms come through later. So you still have them when you get home. Good idea, right . Temperatures right now are a bit on the cool side, 50 degrees in philadelphia, 47 in wilmington, 45 in allentown, 50 in Sea Isle City. And as we roll through the day the numbers are going to shoot up ahead of that rain. 54 by 8 oclock but then 66 by noon and i actually think we could go as high as 69 by about 2 oclock before things turn around. By 3 oclock were down the 65 and then how about 6 oclock all the way back to 56 degrees. And again at some point during the afternoon i would say during the hours of 3 00 to 6 00 from west to east somewhere in there weve got that chance of that gusty thunderstorm popping through with a real quick sudden wind gust that could knock you around a little bit if youre especially in a high profile vehicle. Matt pelman well take a look at those storms on future tracker six in a couple minutes. Going to have to do the White Knuckle grip on the Steering Wheel this afternoon. So, at this point with the building morning volume, you can expect a little bit of slowing especially as you sit through the traffic lights of course. Headed northbound on route one its a situation well continue to watch from chopper 6hd this morning. Now lets go to the maps and well head to the schuylkill expressway westbound side just past the boulevard. Were starting to stack here in the normal spot on out toward gladwyne. Eastbound delay forming as well about a seven minute delay so far on that eastbound travel time. And this is our good buddy ben the ben franklin bridge looking live from camden. Little bit of a new construction pattern this morning as you come out of the toll plaza and head up and over the bridge into center city. They have the right lane blocked but the good news is after you get just beyond this point toward the mid span all four lanes are opened. So, i dont think this is going to cause abnormally heavy delays but its something were watching for sure. We still have those ramp restrictions in Haddon Township until tomorrow morning. We received this information from this News Conference moments ago. Authorities say the suspect is an algerian man. Officials also seized an arsenal of weapons. Good morning america will have more on this breaking story at 7 00 a. M. Developing now authorities in bucks county have confirmed that one person who was unaccounted for at a fire scene was killed in the blaze. The fire broke out last night on the 6600 block of Point Pleasant pike in plumstead township. Officials say the victim was a 58yearold man who lived alone. Firefighters found his body at midnight. Crews had a difficult time on the scene because they said the house was packed with items. The power is still out for two dozen businesses on main line street rocked by underground explosions. Take a look at new video from wayne Delaware County where peco crews have been working around the which tock try to get the problem fixed. The trouble all started on monday night when three separate blasts sent smoke and flames pouring out from below the 100 block of north wayne avenue businesses and in the dark they did what they could to keep going including one barbershop that said, hey well just take the hair cuts outdoors. If you think your parents spent too much time looking over your shoulder when you were a child, check out this father from the south. Action News Reporter erin ohearn is at the big board with more on the drone dad. Reporter dont dad i like that. Most of us have heard of helicopter parenting. Lets say this is drone parenting except were not being metaphorical. This tennessee father has literally become a hovering dad thanks to his love of technology and his adorable eightyearold daughter. Chris early is a self described tech junkie who owns a production company. Hes also father to eightyearold katie who asked him to walk to school on her own a few weeks ago. Of course katie didnt want her father to watch her but lets say his creative parent technological instincts kicked in. He used the drone to take video of her on her way to school. Some say he may be overprotective. Chris says its all in fun and of course a great way to make sure katie is safe. I was like oh, wow. He didnt tell me then and so i was pretty surprised. It was just kind of a thing just to kind of keep an eye on just to make sure she was looking both ways, let her know that daddy is always watching. Reporter early says he had the drone for about a month and he plans on using it for commercials he produces for his production company. He just has to wait on the faa to approve new laws first. So Good Parenting or publicity stunt, who are we to say. Its a very Good Marketing Campaign if it is one and thanks so much erin. Its working for him on both counts. Got him on tv in philly. Storm tracker six shows were mainly dry. A little blip towards harrisburg. Those of in you reading allentown pottstown may pick up a little bit of that later this morning. As we look outside we have a lot of Sunshine Building across the immediate region. There you see sunshine bright above the platt bridge and we are looking at a bright start. Now, there are going to be some additional clouds that build in as the day goes on and eventually well get some rain. 50 degrees currently though, with calm winds so a pretty nice morning to get out there. Youll need a little bit of a jacket. Its a little on the cool side. In terms of rain today, during the morning a slight chance of some of that stuff popping through the north. Future tracker six kind of hooking i dont and to that idea. Looks like its mainly an issue for the poconos. And then later in the afternoon after about 2 oclock or so, well be on the lookout in the western suburbs for the development of some showers and there could be a couple of gusty thunderstorms here, too. So the big issue with these aside from brief downpour and of course lightning, you always get that with any thunderstorm would be a sudden burst of wind ahead of these downpour producing thunderstorms, okay, and thats why were asking you to secure your trash cans and anything else that might blow around if you happen to get one of these coming through. Not everybody sees them but those that do, three, 4, 5 oclock as they come through could be in for a real good burst of wind. If youre driving as matt pelman were talking about a moment ago hold onto that wheel. A sudden gust of wind to push you out of your lane. In any event by 6 oclock looks like most of this action is over by the shore and getting ready to leave us. The rest of the evening is mainly dry with a couple of spotty showers. Adam and cecily will be along later on tonight to show you if there is anything there. So in terms of the threats from this, yeah, moderate chance for lightning and downpours. The big thing were going to warn you for is that sudden gust of wind that really kicks up and then just blows through and puts some debris on roadways and what have you okay. That would be a big issue with any storm that forms. Hopefully youre in one of those places that doesnt see one. Temperatures are the other story today. Were cool for now. By 8 oclock still 54. But then 64 by 11 oclock and by would clock, all the way up to 69 degrees. And then we turn it around. By 5 oclock back down to 57 with blustery winds and again its all because of that front coming through and pushing that rain through. High temperatures today are going to be a little variable. Mid 60s up in allentown and reading and down the shore up closer to 70 in the i95 corridor. Quickly if youre headed to the ball game tonight most of that rain should be done in time for the phils. Breezy and cool, a lingering shower is possible. But i think youre mainly dry. Big issue will be the temperatures as we go down to the low 50s by the end of that contest tonight with the marlins. Your exclusive accuweather 7day forecast 69 degrees is todays high around 2 oclock. Then we plunge. We got that shower or thunderstorm popping through during the afternoon. 56 tomorrow breezy and cooler with a slight chance of a shower mainly in the northern suburbs. That end were dry for awhile and cool. 56 and brick on friday. Saturday 60 and breezy. 62 partly sunny on sunday. Thats actually not a bad day. And then a little bit better than that on monday and tuesday. Tuesday night perhaps another shower. Okay. It is that time of the year. Thank. 6 40 demanding answers. The boulevard very busy this time of the morning, what it means for you. Good morning. It means the inner drive is still closed and that means some slight delays at least. As we look live from chopper 6hd high over the scene this morning, matt and tam, you can see the wreckage thats left, what is left of that vehicle but theyre getting ready to load it onto the flatbed tow truck. Its there in the northbound lanes in the inner drive by ryan avenue. Thats where Barbera Autoland as well as the uhaul agency are on the southbound side to give you some points of reference along the boulevard route one but its northbound inner drive thats still closed so all the traffic is being forced into the outer drive and as chopper pans a bit to the right, you can see how people are stopping there in the outer drive in part because of the traffic lights but also in part because the volume in that outer drive is heavier than normal since the inner drive remains closed. So, well keep watching that situation on the boulevard in northeast philadelphia. Were also watching some strong sun glare out there this morning leading to some heavy delays here in Chester County on the 30 bypass. Eastbound side from this point at 340 on out to 113 even a little bit slower than normal because of that bright sunshine. Weve got some hydraulic fuel fluid on the roadway in west rockhill bucks county along 309 just past state road the right lane is blocked as they clean that up. If youre taking the northeast extension way up north be advised that the northbound lehigh tunnel is closed this morning so traffic is bi directional in the southbound tunnel. Some slowing there as well. Construction in princeton mount lucas road closing in about 15 minutes. Head for 206 as an alternate. Tam. Okay, thank you matt. This afternoon at some point theres the chance of a shower or even a gusty thunderstorm rolling through and id keep the kids armed with rain gear just in case that happens to occur around the time theyre coming home. Well have your day planner forecast coming up next. Its that time of the morning when the chaos gets going. A couple issues at the bottom of your screen. Westbound theres a car with what appears to be a flat tire on the eastbound side toward the top of the screen a crash. Now, the good news is in both directions here on 422 at 23 all the lanes are opened but watch out for those issues on the shoulders. Meanwhile in hulmeville bucks county getting word of a School Bus Accident along bellevue avenue near trenton avenue. Were hearing that there were children on the bus but that no injuries are being reported. So, thats the good news but you do want to avoid bellevue near trenton avenues in hulmeville this morning. David. All right matthew. On the big board we have Cool Temperatures this morning but we have sun up. That always helps a little bit. A lot of 40s in the northern and western suburbs some areas close to philadelphia have reached the 50degree mark. Pretty much the same story down the shore. 50 degrees there. Some 40s in the interior of south jersey and some mid to upper 40s climbing quickly to the 50s in the state of delaware. As we roll through the day it is going to shoot up and get pretty mild quickly. 59 degrees by 9 oclock. 66 as soon as noon. And i think well actually go as high as 69 degrees around 2 oclock today. But then a front will come through and knock those temperatures back down. 65 by 3 oclock and back to 56 by 6 oclock. As we transition with that front theres the chance of a shower passing through or perhaps a couple of gusty thunderstorms in some neighborhoods and where those hit, strong sudden gusty winds could kind of knock you out of your lane if youre driving and of course you want to take cover from any debris on roadways or tree branches falling just in case that happens in a couple of spots today, matt and tam.
