An 18yearold girl is accused of planning to kill her classmates at a high school in maryland. Police say they found a shotgun and bomb making materials at thes home in thurmond Frederick County. They say it doesnt seem as though she was going after a specific group at school but instead planning a very detailed attack to cause absolute destruction. A teenaged girls plan to bomb and shoot students at her Frederick CountyMaryland High School has been stopped by sheriffs deputies. The involved student was 18yearold nicole sevario. She was immediately removed from the School Without incident. Reporter authorities tipped off by her own parents. As soon as the father found out he informed School Officials who in turn informed us. Reporter after a search of 18yearold nicole sevarios home Authorities Say they found an arsenal of materials. They were illegal purchases shotgun ammunition, fireworks, the hardware, the pieces of pipe, to construct the bombs everything she did was within the law. Reporter sheriffs deputies found pipes with end caps shrapnel fireworks magnesium tape and fuse material. Authorities say none of it had been combined to actually make a bomb but the intent was there. Nicole posed a threat not only to the school, the student body but herself also. Reporter her journal was also discovered with details about the schools emergency procedures and a time line of how she would go about the attack on classmates. The fact that a young woman could carry out an attack much like columbine or sandy hook. Reporter like other past School Shooters she planned to die on the day of the attack. Reporter Authorities Say she seemed to have been actingas released from the hospital where she was taken for a mental evaluation shell be arrested and charged. In new york, Stephanie Ramos channel6 action news. Members of black lives matter called for Philadelphia District attorney Seth Williams to resign. They protested at his office saying williams cant be effective in his job after being arrested on federal bribery and extortion charges. Williams has been pleaded not guilty. A spokesperson for the d. A. s Office Released a statement saying in part this indictment is against one individual not an office full of dedicated career prosecutors and professional support staff. Philadelphia mayor jim kenney and local fop leaders have also called on williams to resign. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is expected to join a white house effort to fight opioid abuse. It happened last night as a tech come is a Police Officer pulled over a suspect. Officials say someone in the vehicle started running away leading to a pursuit. Thats when the suspect opened fire on the officer who shot back. The officer identified as 22yearold Justin Turner died after being hospitalized overnight. The suspect was also hospitalized. One person is dead five others wounded following a shooting spree in florida. Police say the gunman killed his girlfriend during an argument this morning in sanford. He then shot his girlfriends young sons and their grandfather. Finally he walked to a nearby street and shot two innocent bystanders including a High School Student awaiting for the bus. Police arrested the gunman at the scene. Dozens of people had to flee a burning Apartment Building in oakland california. Most residents were able to get out but one person was killed and four others were hurt. The fire sparked in a housing unit for people recovering from addiction prison and homelessness. Now the pspca is asking for help. Duke a pitbull style dog was found in the 900 block of south 55th street saturday morning. Duke was transported to the pspca where he underwent emergency surgery and is now recovering in the organizations shelter hospital where hes in stable condition. This stabbing is being investigated by the pspcas humane Law Enforcement department. In itone withly information is asked to contact police. There is a concern in New Castle County delaware after Police Respond to four separate deaths all of which involved heroin. County police tell action news they happened in the wilmington newark and claymont areas between 8 00 a. M. And 1 05 p. M. Yesterday. Officers responded to four separate incidents where a person had died and at each scene heroin was recovered. The victims were 23, 26, 59 and 63 years old. The exact cause of death for each individual has not yet been determined. Police hope more people with addiction problems take advantage of their hero help initiative. The good part about it is its a immediate into treatment because we want these people to get help for this addiction so its immediately into treatment. Officials say they offer the program to anyone arrested on drug possession charges but individuals can also go to police and ask for the programs help as well. A business in north philadelphia is robbed. But the Business Owner chased the suspect down shooting him twice. Today we learn new information about what led the owner to pull that trigger. Action News Reporter john rawlins is live outside east detectives with details on why the owner will not face charges for this shooting that led everyone down a block and cash flying across the street. John. Reporter well, the individual involved here is the owner of a laundromat in the 2900 block of north fifth street. There was a robbery yesterday. The owner had a gun permit and a gun. The suspect had a knife. He was shot and is in critical condition. At this point detectives say they view all this as selfdefense. Even though the actual shooting was around the corner from the laundromat. Right now the store owner is not being charged. We conferred with the d. A. s office but it is a and Ongoing Investigation. Reporter detectives continue to investigate today at fifth and cambria. Sunday a man with a knife went into this laundromat and got an estimated 2,000 in cash from the owner who also had a revolver. Outside the fleeing thief dumps a the least some of the dollars as the store owner closes in. Apparently the sound of gunfire prompts people in this pizza shop to duck as the pair flash by rounding the corner onto cambria. There the store owner fires wounding the thief twice in the chest. Store owner was engaging this male, the male actually turned around. The store store owner believed the individual had something in his hand either a knife or a gun. Thats what made the store owner fire his weapon. Reporter a woman waiting for a bus was shot in the hand. Police are considering this an accident at that point. As for the dumped dollars they didnt stay long. By that stands moved in and accident happened up the money. Virtually clearing the sidewalk in about 40 seconds. That would be a full investigation to try to see if we can identify those individuals who actually picked up the money. Police released this Surveillance Video of the suspect from february 25th. They say the suspect entered the gym on the 200 block of South Broad Street and left a short time later with a backpack and jacket. The victim later discovered those missing items from the gyms locker room. Police say the suspect made purchases with the victims credit card as well. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to contact police. An Early Morning crash in camden county, new jersey, ended with a vehicle overturned in a yard. This happened around 3 45 this morning on john tipton boulevard near haines road in pennsauken township. Police say the driver lost control and crashed the vehicle through a fence before landing on its roof. There were no reports of any serious injuries. The accident remains under investigation. A crash on the schuylkill expressway in south philadelphia sent two people to the hospital. It happened near the 28th street exit around 10 30 last night. Police tell action news the driver lost control of his car and it overturned. Two people were treated the the hospital for minor injuries. Both have been released. It happened about 125 miles north of tokyo. A fire official says the students were taking ski lessons. Eight of those students are now feared dead and six others are injured. 32 students and teachers were able to get down the slopes safely. Emergency crews are having trouble reaching the area because of bad weather. We have new information tonight about a deadly nightclub shooting in ohio. Police now say the number of people injured in that shooting at the Cameo Nightclub in cincinnati stands at 16. Cincinnati police say 27yearold obrien spikes was shot and killed during the sunday morning attack. They say there were four uniformed officers working off duty security at the time of the shooting but they were not permitted to work inside the club under department rules. Again, we have that morning round of rain, getting a little sun at the present time and then low pressure really starting to spin up near saint louis and nashville with some Severe Weather breaking out. This low will be pushing to our south, not going to our north and west and as it does so siso, it is going to spark t scattered storms and downpours tomorrow o mild with a few late showers developing and patchy fog. Stays fairly warm for the overnight lows right around that 50degree mark. As we look at future tracker 7 oclock tomorrow morning again with that patchy fog forming overnight and the the clouds racing back in, it is a cloudy start. So, for tomorrow, some rounds of showers and thunderstorms and again, those thunderstorms will be hit or miss and dont look to be strong or severe. Its just really going to be heavy rain and the best concentration of any of those scattered storms would be mostly south of philadelphia with localized downpours. And possibility of some ponding on the roadways where that does happen but again, no the everyone will see them. Where you do have the warmer air tomorrow, again, is south in wilmington and parts of central and southern new jersey, 71 millville, 70 wilmington and dover t near 70 in philadelphia, 60s to the north and own orange line 50s right along the coastline again with a little bit of wind catching in off of the atlantic. But the big story on action news tonight is a warning from the Trump Administration directed at philadelphia and other sanctuary cities. Attorney general Jeff Sessions made an unannounced appearance at the White House Press briefing today to say that sanctuary cities could lose federal money if they fail to cooperate with immigration fishes. Sessions was basicallily restating a position taken by then candidate donald trump during the campaign but philadelphia mayor jim kenney today refused to back down despite the apparent sacrifice philadelphia might have to make if it remains a sanctuary city.
