We have a bit of a sweat fest going and adam is here to tell us the details. Doesnt sound good at all. Began today runs through the weekend into next week. Oh, boy. Sticks around for some time. We saw some clouds pass by earlier today and a sprinkle or two north of philadelphia, very early this morning. That was a front that passed by to slowly bring in some drier air from the north but i tell you, it really didnt do much in the form of relief for us today temperaturewise. 93 was the high in Philadelphia Running way above the normal of 84 degrees. 7 degrees shy of the record, 100 degrees and 1963 a pretty good year when you take a look at that record low temperature of 51 degrees. We were at 75 degrees this morning. We look at the heat index right now. The hottest temperatures all day were to the south and east cause thats where the atmosphere was super humid. It felt like near 100 degrees along the shore through much of the afternoon, still 99 in beach haven, 97 in pomona at the airport, 96 in cape may, 98 in Millville Ann little better again north and and a little better again north and west. 88 in the poconos 91 in allentown. Northerly winds slowly pulling in some drier dewpoints. As we look at satellite and radar, a lot of dry air in place with respect to any cloud cover, any precipitation. High pressure coming in so as that high settles in to our north overnight tonight, well see that dropping humidity occur not only to the north where it is now but progress to the south. Clear and warm, 64 in the suburbs to 73 degrees for center city. As we look at the forecast here for your saturday, the beginning of the weekend, its sunny, its hot but the difference tomorrow from today is really not the air temperature its going to be the lower humidity. 92 in philadelphia, 90 in allentown, 91 reading so a little more tolerable out and the biggest difference will be the shore. The shore is the hottest location today, tomorrow cooler with the sea breeze only in the low 80s. Philadelphia union in town here tomorrow if youre heading there into chester, mostly clear, a nice night. The starting temperature at 86 degrees and then by the finish of the game your temperature already falling into the upper 70s. At the shore, the water temperature at 70 degrees and although saturday is sunny, breezy, nice at 83 and beautiful sunday at 81, yes, well have a sea breeze, well have a lot of sunshine. Looks like its going to be pretty quiet at the shore but watch for those moderate risks for rip currents especially the second half of the weekend with that on shore wind and also some swells beginning to push in that could create rip currents due to Tropical Storm gaston as we look at the exclusive accuweather 7day forecast 90s from almost start to finish here. Lower 90s through the weekend. No humidity tomorrow. Slightly humid on sunday. Then it turns very muggy on monday and its really kind of a steam bath and sultry here both tuesday, wednesday, low 90s. Heat indices at least in the mid 90s with a scattered thunderstorm either day and then a strong cold front comes through on thursday to bring some relief at 87 but it really waits until friday at just 82 degrees with a mixture of sunshine and clouds. Overall its a summerlike weekend out there from start to finish. Thank you, sir. We can handle it. Yes. Uhhuh. Well be right back. My son has meningitis b. But how did we end up here . His mom thought he had the flu and that he was covered by the meningococcal meningitis vaccine he had received. Until 2014 there were no vaccines for meningitis b in the u. S. Now there are. While uncommon, meningitis b can lead to death within 24 hours. Trumenba is a vaccine for 10 through 25 year olds to help prevent group b meningococcal disease. Trumenba should not be given if you had a severe allergic reaction after a previous dose. Most common side effects were injectionsite pain, fatigue. Headache, muscle pain, and chills. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about all the risks and benefits of trumenba and tell them if youve received any other meningitis b vaccines. Meningitis b can be spread by typical sharing like. A drink. A spoon. A kiss. It all started here. It might have been prevented with trumenba. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about trumenba.
