Smoky house fire turned deadly in bucks county. Happening today, expansion plans at Philadelphia International airport take a step closer to actually getting off the ground. Accuweather is tracking a chilly start the potential for gusty afternoon storms and then another big drop in temperatures. Thats a lot going on david for you to tell us about and matt pelman is in foredone take a look at traffic. Good morning. Everything but the kitchen sink today. All right. This morning were looking at a couple of light sprinkles and showers mainly up north. Allentown might catch a little bit of that. Less chance of seeing that in philadelphia and points south this morning but later today were on the lookout for some of the shower activity to the west to begin to build through and during the afternoon we could even have a line of spotty thunderstorms come through. Where those hit they could give us some problems with strong gusty winds. The National Weather service is warning for gusty storms today. That could put some debris in roadways and were being asked to tell you to secure trash cans and anything that could blow around in a sudden strong wind gust before you leave for work or school this morning just in case those storms blow through in your neighborhood later on. 50 degrees in philadelphia right now, 44 in wilmington, 46 in trenton, 42 in allentown, 49 in sea isle city. So, a bit of a cool start. As we take a look outdoors to catch that bus looks like it will be cool to begin, 49 by 7 oclock, 54 by 8 oclock maybe a sprinkle well up north and partly cloudy skies with clouds building as the day goes on. 59 degrees by 9 oclock by noon 66 degrees and then we are really going the shoot up to a high of 69 probably around 2 oclock this afternoon but once those showers and thunderstorms build in, the temperatures will drop and by 6 00 were down to 56. Again, matt, the big issue today would be gusty winds with any storms that form. Ill show you those storms on future tracker six coming up. All right david. Never a dull moment, thats for sure. Good wednesday morning to you. Good wednesday morning everyone. Also never a dull moment on the traffic front but things are Getting Better here on the vine street expressway eastbound side we just watched the crews back up, pick up their cones here by the schuylkill expressway. So all eastbound lanes now reopened. The overnight construction is gone. But this crash on the roosevelt boulevard is not gone and its impacting both directions of travel near ryan avenue. Thats where Barbera Autoland is on the southbound side. The crash happened on the northbound side. Were hearing a vehicle into a tree but theyve got the inner drives blocked in both directions. Stick with the outer drives. No major delays but were keeping tabs on that. Inner drives blocked on the new jersey turnpike northbound side between exit seven and 7a just the outer drive getting by. Thats because of construction lasting until 6 00 and we have construction this morning in camden on the admiral wilson boulevard eastbound side by Federal Street taking out the right lane and a couple of those ramps connecting 130 to 168 still closed. Thats until tomorrow morning. Tam there thank you matt. Developing this morning we learned overnight that a house fire in bucks county had been deadly, that it killed a man. Erin ohearn is live in the satellite center. Shes got the very latest on this. Good morning, erinism good morning, tam. A sad story this morning. Officials tell us that the 58yearold man who perished in that blaze did live alone in his plumstead home and officials also tell us that this is an extremely complicated fire to fight and they did not find the body of that 58yearold man until several hours after arriving on the scene. Now, Point Pleasant firefighters initially responded to the home on the 6600 block of Point Pleasant pike shortly before 8 oclock yesterday evening. When firefighters arrived on the scene there was heavy fire coming from the second floor and the back of the home. A short time later crews had to evacuate because of the deteriorating conditions. When it was safer for crews to go inside they searched for nearly four hours in very difficult conditions before finding the man. And their search was complicated by the collapse of the roof and the amount of belongings that were inside the home. A lot of difficulty. There was a lot of material inside the house and a lot of things in the house so the fire had a tremendous head start, so we had to work aggressive to get ahead of the fire. Now, the chief went on to say that he did not believe this qualified as a hoarding case but he said it was close and again, there were several belongings inside the home which made it very difficult for firefighters to fight but the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. Of course if we get any updates on this blaze, well bring them to you on 6abc and 6abc. Com. Okay, erin thank you for that. Future tracker six showing you basically dry conditions this morning. Theres the possibility of a little sprinkle or shower particularly in the northern areas. At 2 oclock or so well be on the lookout for some of this stuff beginning to form out to the west. Looks like the best chance of this is probably between 3 oclock or 5, 6 oclock coming through from west to east and obviously future tracker six is noting this correctly we would be looking at strong gusty storms from philadelphia north maybe a little farther to the south. Cant guarantee everybody sees these but those that do will see some of those strong quick gusts that could produce some debris on roadways and perhaps a couple of tree branches down. As we take a look at todays call in allentown, we are looking at mostly cloudy skies later on after some morning sun. A shower or a thunderstorm possible particularly through the afternoon and a high of 64. Down the shore pretty much the same story. Changing to mostly cloudy skies during the morning and early afternoon and then a late day shower or thunderstorm possible there 66 degrees is the forecast high. And in philadelphia were actually going to shoot up to 69 right ahead of that cold front coming in. I could see this happening fairly early in the day, say 1 30 or 2 oclock and then the numbers will dip back into the 50s by dinnertime and again that shower or thunderstorm chance during the afternoon with strong wind gusts. There you see what im talking about. By 2 oclock youre up to 69 but by 5 oclock all the way back into the 50s. For the phillies tonight, 57 for the first pitch, 52 in the ninth inning sole it will be breezy and chilly. Most of your rain probably done in time for the game.
