Very mild this morning as you step outside. Even up in allentown the mid50s. 63 in trenton and 61 in sea isle city. As we step out the door to catch that school bus this morning between 6 oclock and 8 oclock looks like it will be really pleasant. Mainly clear, 61 by 6 oclock and 65 by 8 oclock and chance of a popup cloud little more cloud cover as the morning goes on. 65 degrees by 8 oclock and then by noon 81 and once again today we are off to the races. Were going to get a high of 85 degrees probably late in the day around 4 oclock. By 6 oclock well be holding onto 80. And the pollen count is easing back a little bit although i would still caution were in the medium high range the next couple days. Probably still need the medications, just a little easing back of that though. Extra overnight construction blocks the two right lanes at this point. You can kind of see those crews up there with the arrow boards. Looking live right now on the vine street expressway, this is near broad street. Construction still blocking the left lane at this point. So watch for that happening currently. Should be clear by about 5 oclock in the morning so no big problems at this point on the vine street expressway. We have a problem right here, sises in willow grove montgomery county. Its right on 611 easton road and it is closed now between the turnpike and fitzwatertown road right now. Theyre doing utility repairs because of an accident from yesterday afternoon so theyre still out there this morning. You want to watch for that. They expect to be clear by about 7 oclock this morning. Until then youll see restrictions out there here in willow grove. Stick to work road as your alternate to avoid the problem that tam. Thank you karen. New this morning a grand jury in delaware has formally charged a Dover Police Officer with felony assault. Corporal Thomas Webster was placed on leaf in 2013 after police say he kicked a suspect in the head ending him unconscious. A grand jury declined to indict webster in march of 2014 but attorney general matt dan reviewed the case and thought it should be presented to the grand jury again. A second grand jury indicted webster yesterday. Closing arguments expected today in the corruption trial for six former members of the Philadelphia Police force. Lead defendant Thomas Licciardello is accused of leading his narcotics squad on illegal drug raids that netted thousands of dollars. Prosecutors built their case on testimony from a former colleague jeffrey walker. Walker pleaded guilty last year. The other six defendants maintain their innocence. New information about the two gunmen shot and killed by police during a free speech convention in garland texas. Officials say the two suspected terrorists Elton Simpson and nadir suv fee intended to shoot hundreds of people but they were out gun ned by a lone traffic cop and his pistol. The Freedom Defense initiative said they were simply exercising freedom of speech but it has been called an antimuslim hate group by southern poverty law center. 30yearold Elton Simpson seen in this selfie and his roommate pulled into the parking lot got out of their car and started shooting. The traffic cop returned fire and shoots them both dead. Now, the fbi had been investigating simpson since now 26. He had been arrested once for trying to fight alongside alqaeda an alqaeda group in somalia. He grew up in a Christian Family in arizona and he played basketball as you can see there. After a car accident, he was also convicted of trying the die lie to the fbi and sentence to do probation. Officials say the traffic cop hoop shot him and his roommate potentially saved dozens of lives. He did a very good job and probably saved lives. Reporter now, simpson was clear about his growing dismay with his country on social media. He tweeted this out before the shooting saying soon you wont be able to live in america as a muslim. And school will be back in session today after a security scare at souderton area high school. A suspicious note prompted the high school to be evacuated yesterday. All evening activities were canceled. Police searched the halls last night and gave the school the all clear to reopen on time this morning. It is still unclear what caused a fire in a Chester County mobile home that left three women dead. Two adults and two children survived the fire along the 300 block of hill road in west caln township. Neighbors say all seven people who were inside are relatives and were at the moment to mourn the death of another family member. Fire erupted just after noon yesterday. The names of the three women who died have not been released. Firefighters say the mobile home was well gone before they even arrived. Golfers at the Rolling Green golf club in Delaware County spotted a house near the course catch fire yesterday evening. They ran to the home along hem lock 39 warn the residents of the smoke. Everyone escaped in time. It is unclear how this fire started. Charges could come as early today for two local mothers after a child ended up on top of the house. Cell phone video caught the rescue of a twoyearold boy from the roof of a home on leaper street. He was rescued by firefighters. A second young child in the home was also taken by authorities. An allentown mother faces charges of attempted homicide. 19yearold Johnesha Perry pushed her oneyearold son off the hamilton street bridge on sunday. She jumped in herself. A delaware man has died and his family is demanding answers about a fight he participated in before his death. Police say there is no evidence that the fight itself caused the death of 20yearold tai sawyer of middletown. Police say he got into a mutually agreed upon fistfight with a childhood friend. It happened at a party in New Castle County where with a person sawyer has known since childhood. Sawyers parents do not believe he would have ever agreed to the fight. Know that this kid was harassing my son prior to the incident at the party on various occurrences he it wasnt just one occurrence where he harassed him, it was multiple times. Here you have them agreeing to fight. We know this from, again, five very detailed accounts from witnesses. So, again, police do not believe a crime occurred. In fact all the way up to 11 oclock we still have the chance of some of this and it may not really die down until well after youre in bed tonight that maybe you hear a rumble thunder in a couple of neighborhoods. So, spotty precipitation later today. The main story will be the temperatures once again as were going to zoom on up. 65 degrees by 8 oclock. But then up close to 80 by 11 oclock and once again we will spend the afternoon in the 80s, another high of 85 degrees possibly around 4 oclock this afternoon. And again that spotty shower or thunderstorm activity here or there through the afternoon the evening. High temperatures from north to south. 82 in allentown, 82 in reading. These numbers similar to yesterday. 85 in philadelphia, 84 in wilmington and down the shore the mid 70s more or less. Sun and clouds and spotty showers or storms. Then tomorrow a frontal boundary bringing us todays rain slides a little bit to our south and brings in somewhat cooler air. A woman had to fight choppy waters to save her own life in california. Authorities say a young woman was swept off Tennessee Valley beach in the pacific omits the victim spent about half an hour in the 52degree water. She was eventually able to get to the base avenue cliff and got situated o an rock. A lifeguard was able to get to her location and put intera life jacket. The woman was taken to a nearby medical facility where she was evaluated. She is expected to make a full recovery. Listen to this one. A Police Officer in North Carolina is crying foul over a spilled starbucks coffee. They took him into custody and thats when a gun shot was heard. This is what followed. Witnesses claim that the man had been shot by a policeman but it turns out that he was not injured. He did not want to go to the hospital but he was taken by ambulance anyway. Police say they never fired a weapon. They did recover a loaded handgun with one spent round.
