Take a look at this, no, it is not old faithful a water main broke in the neighborhood outside pittsburgh blasting water 50 feet in the air. I 07 on yearold main ruptured in scott township yesterday morning. That break damaged sidewalk and flooded a home nearby. Crews got the water turned off and it took about, an hour. Wow. 7 45. Heres traffic and weather together, kate. Guys, we live close to the shore points some might be lucky enough to live at the shore. Youre very lucky, but you probably heard of sea breeze and heard of the land breeze but do you know how it forms . We will walk you through that here. We will start off with the sea breeze. Pay attention guys this was really confusing last time we looked at it on our sister station cbs3. Heres what happens. Two things to keep in mind here, land warms up and cools down, much more quickly then water can. So when you have that land warming more quickly then open ocean water that air will rise, there by, taking from high to low pressure, the the air sort of moves out to sea. So that is why we call it sea breeze moving toward the the sea. Cooler ocean air will then sink back towards land and create this is cycle. Now by contrast the land breeze is basically the total opposite. It will physically happen at night, so remember land cools down faster then the water will, that means warm ocean air will ab lud to rise and then moves, back on land, drops and sinks dunn and comes backup. It creates that flow and that can actually end up being a very big issue if you are a boater outside on the water, land breeze sound backwards but land breeze can mess with the boater more than anything. Lets get out to just shy of the actual shore point cameras here middletown ship high school in cape may courthouse, beautiful view. We have a couple clouds, granted. 65 degrees currently. More sunlight so we will warm up more readily. We dont keep this break for very long. We are between systems here on storm scan 3a big old mess across northern high plains and midwest and this will all eventually turn into a very well organized storm system n fact if you look, at the very beginning of the loop you see that little break, now starting to fuse together. Eventually this will drag a cold front through our area, and that cold front comes in tomorrow generally, no earlier then the afternoon. We have wayscally 36 hour window to enjoy with quiet weather. Tonight looks good. Sun, some clouds, we will split the different call it partly sunny high hits 80 today and tomorrow we will steam up more with storms arriving later in the day, torey, over to you. Thanks very much, katie. Good morning, still rush hour continues to heat up. We will look at 422 eastbound right around area of oaks.
