A tree across columbia roadblocking columbia road. Its a big tree and a lot of work to do to get that back to normal and opened up, columbia road, obviously, from bay village or westlake a major way to get downtown. Some of the debris has been cleared, but one of the big concerns are power lines. Theyre not underground and above ground and a lot are down. If you see a power line, stay awe had and go the other way and get away from it. Sia have seen them around here examining the lines making sure everything is okay. Now, on our drive in, we saw plenty of power trucks. There are working to restore power to this sar nextdoor neighbor says many of the houses on this side of the street, there is no power. Were considering buying a going to be out and the food in the refrigerator. Thats what were looking into right now. Reporter theres a certain way to make your power back on, but six or seven years ago bh my power went out for two days, i bought a generator and the power went on a half hour later. Thats what im wondering, too. The trees are across the road and it will be a while. It might be worth the investment. Repor it could be a while. Getting the wired back will keep this road closes for quite some time. A large truck couldnt go columbia road because of the way you see the police tape there. Per the latest Drought Monitor, we actually still have a the lot of areas under moderate drought and even some out to the west, places like mansfield and portions of huron and erie counties and cuyahoga and lake counties in a severe drought, so we needed the rain. Keep in mind that information is as of tuesday. Well get a new drought next thursday. So well have a better idea as to how our drought has evolved in the coming days. You know, i think its obviously going to show signs of improvement over the last few days since tuesday weve seen over an inch and a half of rainfall in cleveland. Brian one local family is working to raise awareness about a heart condition that doesnt have symptoms. That can lead to sudden cardiac death. Nichole vrsansky getting answers on this condition and when parents may want to seek out a doctors advice. Nichole this saturday hundreds will lace up. Pat played basketball and peanut they called him because of his small size. He died suddenly in 1991 during his freshman year in college. Doctors think a genetic heart condition caused his death. His family uses this race to remember patrick but to tell their story to raise awareness and funds for research. Saying something isnt right. Reporter about three years ago she sensed her daughter merediths shortness of breath was something serious. I thought about pal trick in my mind. Patrick is marlenes brotherinlaw. She never met him. He died suddenly shockingly in 1991 in college. They believe he had long qt syndrome. It can cause sudden danger changes to the heart rate with exercise or stress. Dont know it, so its something thats relatively silent. Nichole its a genetic condition, and testing revealed that Young Meredith and her father jerry, patricks old brother, both had it, too.
