Its the nations most recognizable veterans charity, the Wounded Warrior project. Laura yeah, the organization very recognizable has invested heavily in fund raising saying the money will honor and empower Wounded Warriors. The programs fall short of the goal. Retired Army Staff Sergeant eric millett came home from iraq with a bronze star, a purple heart, a traumatic brain injury and ptsd. Wounded warrior project enrolled him in the warrior Speak Program as a public speaker but he says warrior speak is less about helping veterans and more about raising cash. I began to see how an organization that rakes in hundreds of millions of dollars a year is not helping my brothers and my sisters. Or at least not all of em. Laura cbs news interviewed dozens of former employees and nearly all of them said they were concerned the organization has become more focused on raising money than serving wounded veterans. Wounded warrior project declined repeated requests by cbs to interview the c. E. O. But its director of alumni says the group checks up on veterans every year on their birthday to to see how they are doing and if q there, you go. Well what does Wounded Warriors have in cleveland when it comes to that area with us now carl monday, the man. What do you know . What have you learned . Reporter well we just started checking. First of all we learned there is no Wounded Warriors office in cleveland. The closest one is actually in pittsburgh. Our neighbors to the east. We stay breezy, no rain, no significant measurable snow, but again, those flurries may continue through the afternoon and into tonight, as well. The early evening. I think overnight, we are dry. Partly cloudy and breezy tonight. Just like it is today. Winds sustained up to 20 miles an hour this evening as we fall ok. All morning long, we talked tomorrow. So, i want to get right to that and get you ready for your morning drive. We will start off with morning. I think most of us get through the Morning Hours dry. Maybe a flurry or two. But nothing that should slow you down. Midday, we are dry. But watch what happens at about 2 00, 3 00, we start to see some will become more widespread as we approach sunset. So your evening commute may not be quite as uneventful as the morning commute. You might have to drive through some snow out there. Of course we will be keeping an eye on it for you.
