Its the biggest week for iowa wrestling but on alot of minds athletes, athletic is actually safety and what a new iowa bill could mean for their sport and schools to make it to state wrestlers take a beating. Earlier today, Fort Dodge Police were tipped off that werneburg might be in town. They went to the walmart on first avenue. When the officer tried to arrest him, werneburg started a fight. Now he can add assault on an officer to his charges. Hes being held in the Webster County jail. Jack angry parents cause a security problem at an iowa school this morning. Two angry parents came to the Collins Maxwell middle and high schools. Police say they threatened several staff members. Both schools then increased security, though police say it was not a lockdown. Its not clear why they were mad. One of the parents was picked up on a warrant a few hours later. His warrant was from texas and is unrelated to this case. So far there are no charges. Stephanie it took half a year to make an arrest. But today West Des Moines police say they know who Raccoon River drive. Stephanie in august, the body of 21year old Daulton Holly from tennessee was found along the road. Since then, police had been looking for the car involved, even offering a thousand dollar reward. 37 yearold Ronald Hauser from van meter has now turned himself in to police hes charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and owi. Hauser is out on bond. Stephanie and new information now on a 2006 case out of ottumwa in which two men allegedly lit a house on fire, killing two people. Christopher yenger and zachary dye submitted written pleas of not guilty today and asked for a speedy trial. We reported back in january that after 10 years of no movement on the case, the two men were arrested by wapello deputies for the murders of Nathan Messer and seth anderson. The initial investigation was unable to pinpoint a cause of the fire. New information told police that the fire was started intentionally.
