Local fives digital news editor lucas casey takes a look. Lucas the Supreme Court is made up of nine justices, but now, with the passing of justice scalia, the court is down to just eight jurists. Moving forward, the court will continue to hear cases and issue decisions as scheduled. Now, how often could issues, as observed justices consistently make more liberal decisions, and these conservative decisions. And, as we look forward to the cases set to come before the court in the coming months likely before the vacancy is filled, months likely before the vacancy is filled, there are cases involving abortion rights, affirmative union wages, and president obamas health care and immigration policies the outcomes of these cases and more could be impacted with a the outcomes of these cases and more could be impacted with a vacancy on the bench.
