New details this morning on the shooting that critically wounded a 13 yearold boy yesterday. Deputies say it was an accident, but they have someone behind bars now. He wasnt even in the house at the time, but he is a convicted felony, according to deputies and that is against the law for him to have a gun and thats why he is behind bars this morning the man who lives in that home at 4700 foxwood drive has been identified as 35 yearold walter amy. The 13 yearold boy is his relative and that boy was visiting at the time. This morning, investigators are telling us that the boy was in the house when 218 yearolds when one of the older kids found the gun in a bedroom and started playing with it. The gun went off and the boy was shot. He was taken to Arnold Palmer hospital where at last check he was in critical condition. No word at this point on whether or not those 18 yearolds are facing charges. Deputies say their investigation is ongoing. The jail. Also a news alert right now, a cruz ship thats headed to Port Canaveral getting slammed on the high seas. Luann is here with more on that story. Royal caribbeans anthem of the seas was hit pretty hard hitting that cruise ship right off the coast of the core Rhine Carolinas overnight. The gun belonged to a convicted felony. That shooting happened at a home in orlando yesterday. Deputies say the boy was visiting 2, 18 yearold relatives at that home when one of them found a gun in a bedroom and started to play with it. The gun went off, striking the 13 yearold in the neck. The gun belonged to walter meringue who was not home at the time. The boy is now nighting for his life at Arnold Palmer hospital. Hes listed in critical condition. Happening today, the city of orlando pledging to throw in 75 million for ucf to build a campus downtown orlando. Today, that agreement will be proposed to the city council and faublgs 35s Andrea Jackson has details this morning. Good morning. Orlando will donate about 75 million to help ucf build its downtown campus project. They will meet today to finalize the terms of that agreement. Lets go to the video. Universities seeking approval from the board of governors to build 165,000 square foot building in the fall of 2018 for 7700 students as part of the creative village. It also receives 20 million from the state. The city will give up 15 acres plus the expo center being used by ucf. The deal is just another step in the right direction for downtown orlandos economy. Its a great investment for our downtown to grow that entire cluster of Digital Media companies, emerging media companies, and that only works if you have the education component. Think about what having a campus in the downtown, would say 7500 to 10,000 students on a daily basis will mean for transforming downtown. Theres an economic piece of it.
