Reporter this is the third shooting right here in sanford. Now, according to Sanford Police they said that drivers noticed a man walking along here and pointing a gun at them. That suspect did not shoot at those driver, but when Police Arrived here on scene to confront that suspect that he started shooting at the police officers, so the officers were returned to fire. Now, during that exchange its suspect who shot an intent bystander. Now, that person was shot in the arm and taken to the hospital. Now, during this investigation they did arrest the suspect, and his name is roshid smith, charged with homicide, possession of a firearm, discharging a weapon in public and resisting arrest. As of right now the fdle is investigating this shooting. We asked Sanford Police if the cameras recorded the incident, but those Traffic Cameras do not have any record capabilities.
