And if you dont know what your Blood Pressure is that time of day, youre not going to have any idea if youre at higher risk. Sometimes when you go to the doctor, it can be falsely elevated because you get nervous. I have patients steve stressed out from waiting. Some people have white coat hypertension. What we recommend for people that have that or you want a monitor at home, get a home you put the cuff on. Get the one that goes on your arm, not the wrist or finger. This is more accurate. You strap this on the upper arm and hit start and it gives a digital reading. Alison my dad does this. We make fun of him because hes always checking his Blood Pressure. Sounds like its a good thing to do. I recommend them to my patients when i dont have whether they have white coat hypertension. I say take it home and measure it for a week. Steve smart.
