Reporter here the lee family has been bogged down in the cranberry business for 150 years. Part of the ocean spray cooperative, they now grow on 135 bogs. That doesnt count the dams and the water and the reservoirs and the upstream areas. Because in addition to our bog, we have 1800 acres of land surrounding the bog as a watershed. Me. We need large amounts of pure water in order to run a cranberry operation year in and year out in a sustainable way. Theyre big sellers. The growing season starts in april when we drain the water from the bogs. The vines begin to grow and they the bees do their work from june until the fourth of july. Finally in late september when the days get short and the nights get cool, the cranberries begin to assume the color that you associate with cranberries. Well begin the process of removing sprinklers, flooding berries loose. As the sun was coming up, we gathered the berries together with the Oil Containment boom, the yellow ring around the age, brought them together in one part of the bog, and were starting to pump the berries out of the water, wash them, and then load them on to a tractortrailer to go to ocean spray. This mother chose life. This mother said yes to the gift of life. That. She was scared. She must have been distraught. But in a time of trial, she knew where to come. While the church would serve as a safe haven, law mandates the child be left with someone or authorities be alerted immediately, neither of which happened. The church provided the Police Department with Surveillance Footage and authorities are canvassing the neighborhood. For now, the father is focused on the future of this unidentified newborn. I would love to see this child find a home, to find a healthy and warm and loving home. But how beautiful it would be if he could find a home here.
