Violence, forcing the republican frontrunner to cancel an appearance in chicago over security concerns. Today trump calls for all protesters at his rallies to be arrested. Because i have to do it myself. I know its not tense moments for donald trump on the road to the white house. Someone apparently threw something. Whether it was a threatening word or an object during donald trump at a Campaign Stop in ohio, other reports say the protester tried to rush the secret Service Agents surrounded the candidate while ores carried out a man believed to be responsible for the disturbance. The ohio incident comes less than 24 hours after a chicago trump rally was canceled because of the potential for violence. Other candidates are weighing in. Its ripping our country and our party apart and its going to, ultimately, going to hurt us very badly if we move in this direction. But the ugly, divisive rhetoric we are hearing from donald trump and the encouragement of violence and aggression is wrong and its dangerous. If you play with matches, youre going to start a fire you cant control. What trump is doing is incredibly dangerous at so many levels. Because of their problems scapegoating. What they are doing is scapegoating which has gone on forever. About, to take peoples fear and anger and turn them against minorities. Tragedy on the hudson river, a tugboat crashed into a barge killing one and leaving two others missing. Missing crew members. Jessica formow sew is live in terrytown with the latest. After 16 hours, the search has been suspended and will resume tomorrow morning. The reason . Well, because of conditions out here. An officer told me since early in this morning since the accident happened, divers have been trying to get into the water. It wasnt until 7 30 tonight that they did, and they were only in there for ten minutes. They did locate the vessel but werent able to get inside, and he said thats because the currents were moving so quickly, and it was just too dangerous. Police say the 84foot tugboat named specialist hit a construction barge around 5 20 this morning near the site where the new Tappan Zee Bridge is being built. It was a fatal crash. Within minutes, the tugboat sank into 40 feet of water. Three men were onboard. One of be the men was pulled from the water but later died. It is tragic. Rescue boats and divers were out in the water looking for the other two men Governor Andrew Cuomo spoke with the family of one of the missing men. This is a 29yearold who had his whole life ahead of him and was supposed to come home, wound up working a few more days because the company asked him to, and now its doubtful whether or not hell come home at all. Authorities say the three tugboats which were not working on the bridge project were escorting a barge carrying a crane south down the hudson river when the accident occurred. They departed from albany and were headed to jersey city. The tugboat apparently signaled the other tugs that they were too close and said move left right away. They were not able to move the barge fast enough. Cuomo told fox 5 news that there were 13 workers on the was hit but none of them were injured. Speculation is that the workers saw that there was an imminent collision, had time to prepare themselves and brace themselves. 5,000 gallons of diesel fuel leaked into the water. Dec has been on site monitoring the situation. I saw the booms that have been deployed. Its catching a lot of the diesel right from that site. Its very localized. And luckily, the response was very rapid. Now, officials do say that the Tappan Zee Bridge was hit. Of course, we do have to mention this accident happened near the 2013 boat crash that killed a bridetobe and her fiances best man. Christina and antwan, back to a 22yearold woman is in serious condition tonight after a Chain Reaction accident in queens. Officials say the victim and another person pulled over to help a disabled vehicle on the side of the Whitestone Expressway in flushing at about five a. M. , and thats when another driver crashed into the stopped vehicles. The victim was hurled off the overpass and landed 30 feet below. The driver who struck the vehicle was not charged. A man suspected of driving a snowmobile into two teams during the iditarod dog race did not intentionally drive into the dog teams. The crash killed one dog and injured at least three others. Hes being held on two counts of assault, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and criminal mischief. Time now for weather. Its been aan amazing week. It sure was, and we are going to see to temperatures stay high numbers were in that category with. We have readings mostly in the 50s across the tristate area. 59 in central park, were actually in the 60s further inland across northwestern new jersey and up towards the hudson valley. New york is expanding testing for the zika virus pregnant women in the state whose sexual partners recently traveled to can now get tests free for the infection. The tests were already being offered to pregnant women who traveled to the affected areas themselves. The virus has been reported in south america, mexico, the caribbean and parts of asia. It has been linked to serious birth defects. New york has found 40 cases of the mosquitoborne virus in itself. It has been a mild flu season until now, and the dreaded virus is making a lot of people miserable. Fox 5s arthur chan has some prevention tips. A bill in massachusetts would create a commission to move New England States to atlantic time which is an hour before the eastern time zone all year round stead of eight months of the year. The idea of taking new england and moving it off of new york time in order to put us on nova scotia time seems to me like one of the worst ideas weve come up with for with our clocks in a long, long time.
