Now, here is what we know tonight. This all started after 6 15 p. M. Of a narcotics squad here near the 83rd precinct. Now, the suspects vehicle struck the suspects car and the gunshots soon followed. He was transported near queens which was not far away. He was alert and conscious, speaking with officers and other investigators are with him on dean. One suspect was also hit multiple times and transported were been told that hes in stable condition. Officials saying that it is possible that this officer was hit by friendly fire. Vehicle backed up and then moved forward. At that point the sergeant that was standing on the driver side weapons. And that is what i mean by crossfire. The detective was hit in the shoulder by his colleague. There were three suspects, one was shot multiple times and another was taken into custody and a third person is searching for him this evening as its been an intense manhunt. Helicopters are using spotlights. Dozens of officers searching on the ground and we are told that the police are still looking for that. You know, ive never heard of that happening. That it happened. But its happening in the area so close to home. The one suspect is 45 years old at Fairview Hospital hit multiple times. He had as many as 58 prior arrests. The officer is alert and talking and said to be in good spirits, as this you can be after being involved in a gunfire situation.
