Thats one Severe Thunderstorm Warning. Another one in vance county, north of henderson, northwest of warrenton. Heavy rain, lightning and hail. There are storms to our northwest but those will probably miss our area. Will continue for the next few hours. Because of that a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 00. Yes. Drugs and 1400 in cash were found in the home of a man involved in a shootout with police in raleigh. The perpetrator was apprehended by Law Enforcement within a matter of minutes and is in have been evacuated from the school and are accounted for at this time. Were heartbroken about this senseless act of violence. We are so thankful for the quick action of Law Enforcement and employees who prevented further injuries. Our School District has been working hand in hand with Law Enforcement for the past five years. We have participated in county wide active assault training and anderson 4 schools have all the Quick Response by the principal, teachers and staff kept this horrific tragedy from being much worse. School has been canceled for the rest of the week. Counseling services will be available both on thursday and friday for both students and Staff Members. Southern Harnett County, down into hope county, 4 to 5 inches of rain and, again, more is coming. Weve did the strong storms east of i95 not has strong. Severe storms continue for western parts of mecklenburg southeast part of our viewing area that were most concerned about. Weve seen flash flooding on some of the access roads that parallel both northbound and southbound. Theres a lot of standing water. We see traffic moving very, very slow through the water thats on the roads. People seem to be taking their time and using some caution. Heavy rain still continuing to fall. So if youre planning on hitting the roads at any time in the next couple of hours until that flash Flood Warning expires watch for areas of high water like were seeing now. Things are moving okay.
