Lauren is live at the court house in smithfield where one of the suspects faced a judge for the first time. Lauren. The state is claiming that terra wilson destroyed and hid evidence used to commit those murders. She had her First Court Appearance earlier this afternoon. Its where she met her lawyer who tried to reduce her bond from 1 million but of course the judge did deny that. The families of both matt and jessica hope that through these Court Proceedings justice will be served. They are responsible i hope the system gives them what they deserve. And i hope with all my heart that god will forgive them from taking them two lives because they devastated two families. Wilsons parents were in court today. They wouldnt speak with us. Riverside High School Student acosta who came illegally from honduras. His life was in danger. The 19yearold now detained, his attorney telling us he is scheduled to be deported sunday and thats why these folks have gathered. A representative from butterfields office saying he spoke with a secretary from Homeland Security and trying to stop his deportation. His teacher explaining why she came out. He was not one of the students that came in and goofed off on his cell phone. He was always really focused and really happy to have an education. And that is a message coming from a lot of his teachers and fellow students this afternoon. Acosta is one of six North Carolina teens now facing deportation now detained by ice. Police have tracked down the main fugitive from the paris terror attacks last november he was captured in the same four other people were detained including members of a family that sheltered the fugitive. She was playful. Shes the right age. We just think shes going to make a great pet. Macy is one of 400 cats and dogs rescued friday, the massive effort to get more than 600 pets out of cages and into a forever home. Their eyes. The aspca stepped in back in january after investigators raided and shut down the haven Animal Shelter in hoke county. They are animals, they cant help themselves. They depend on humans to look out for them. Those humans were charged with four counts of animal cruelty with open wounds and repiratory disease. The aspca has been nursing them back to health. Its been an amazing transformation for these animals over the past several weeks to see them go from a depressed state and unhealthy state to what we are seeing today which is a lot of very healthy happy friendly animals. Not only is it free to adopt the animals but theyve been spayed or neutered and micro chipped too. The agency says they have many large dogs and cats Still Available for adoption this weekend.
