He was 64 years old and live on the third floor. Her name, ligia puello. She was from the Dominican Republic. Residents describe her as incredibly kind. She was known for helping other families coming to this country find their way. She was very beautiful. She was very caring, loving. She would treat me and my mom and my family with open arms. I remember the times we spent. She used to take me to school. She changed my diapers. Thank you very much. Reporter although this investigation is still very much under way, sources say authorities are looking at the possibility that the woman still missing here may have been involved in this in some sort of way. Sources say she expressed thoughts of suicide on social media. Early on, it was believed this blast was caused by a stove being disconnected. A while later, they spotted the rider actually in the water in the rough surf and drifting close to a jetty. Someone had told us that it had ended up being that this woman had died here. It was just very shocking to all of us. A training drill turned into a reallife rescue for coast guard crews in new jersey. A helicopter was on a training flight where crews saw a jet sea in the water with no one on board. Fire marshals are on duty. Theyre learning more about the woman that First Responders discovered after this building exploded. Her name, 64yearold ligia puello. She was a native of the Dominican Republic. She lived on the third floor and was killed saturday when the building exploded. Residents in this this neighborhood describe her as incredibly kind. She was known for helping other families coming into this country. She was very caring, loving. She could treat my mom and my family with open arms. I remember the times we spent. She used to take me to school. She changed my diapers. Thank you very much for opening those doors to my family so i could have been born. The investigation into what happened here saturday is still under way. Authorities are probe the possibility that a woman still missing may have been involved in some sort of way. Reporter darlene, good morning to you. This area still heavily barricaded. Fire marshals still on the scene. As you mentioned, a woman in her 40s remains missing here. Investigators are probing the possibility that she may have played a role. While this investigation cont ues, we have learner the identigl of a woman killed in this blast. 64yearold ligia puello is a native of the Dominican Republic and lived on the third floor of the building and was killed when it exploded. Sources are telling news 4 the woman still missing is believed to be in her 40s, believed to have lived in a second floor apartment and she may have been suicidal, saying she expressed thoughts like that on social media and the possible she played a role in causing had gas explosion is being explored. We dont know what was heard that a stove was being removed. We dont know if that was caused this incident. Its going to take weeks if not months until we find out whats going to happen. The one thing we know happened is it was engas explosioyo reporter back live here on 13th avenue. The area still barricaded. You can see clear through this building. 49 people have been displaced as a result of what happened here through five buildings. Two men and a young boy were also injured as a result of this blast.
