Reporter they tell me for sure that it was a White Charter bus that struck the woman. They do say that it had skyliner written on the side. Now i have been in touch with that company, but so too have police in two different states. As the investigation into what happened here continues. Detectives went in and out of locations around main street and casino boulevard trying to track down an image of a vehicle that left a woman for dead. Not only by connecticut state police, but by detectives from the nypd. A representative for skyliner, the bus company, tells news 4 that the driver was released, and so far, theres no indication that that vehicle was involved. Officer from the 109th precinct warmed the area after discovering the victim lies in trauma. Appeared she will be lying there are if several minutes. I left the car right there actually, and i immediately ran over on the other lane, and i see that its a body. Its a body. He says yes, its a body. And they tell us thereve been 14 hitandrun pedestrian fatalities from january of this year all the way to the end of october. One inmate distracted him while the other put him in a choke hold and slashed him several times above the head and face.
