It happened well north of chicago in the community of fox lake. The veteran Police Lieutenant was shot during a foot chase and was found stripped of his weapon. Schools were locked down and people told to stay indoors as police swarmed the area in search of the suspects. It comes as Police Fatalities nationally from all causes are rising dramatically.
