This was based primarily on strong evidence that consumption of processed meat causes Colorectal Cancer. What is more, the group says there is evidence to suspect red meat, including beef, lamb, and pork likely can cause Colorectal Cancer as well. Has been suggesting limiting red meat and processed meat intake since 2002. Reporter limit, not necessarily eliminate there is a difference between processed meat and lean cuts of beef and pork.
