Two of the High School Seniors covered their faces as they left court, but outside commack high school, parents say hacking these Computer Systems may not be that difficult. Kids know more than parents im just shocked it happened. Reporter Daniel Suarez was the mastermind. He alleged the attached a device like this into a computer inside commack high school. The device gathered the teachers login and password information which suarez then used to enter the School Districts computer system. In this day and age of hacking, when you think of someone sitting at a computer and hacking in, theres actually a very simplified way of getting into a computer. Reporter once in the system, suarez changed 300 students schedules and four of his own grades in classes like physics, economics and history, in one case elevating a 94 to a 100. Police say a search of suarez home yielded key evidence, and at one point a source says the panicked teen went into hiding. In response, commack school said a full Electronic Security review is under way with a company that specializes in network security. 4 investigates did find key loggers for sale on line at a Department Store for under 50. But a student says using one to change grades just isnt worth it. Theyre skewing what one person worked hard for, getting good grades. Reporter suarez apologized for his actions but he wouldnt comment on the motives. As for the other two students, one asked suarez to change his grade, the other asking his schedule be altered. Tonight there are big concerns that a building in chelsea could come crashing down at any moment after it was gutted by a fivealarm fire.
