Police and the secret service have been emphatic that there are no threats, that theyre well prepared, and the precautions that are being taken both in terms of the manpower, you have thousands of police officers, secret service agents, 1,000 police cars being assigned not just to the popes detail but to the u. The enormity of precautions that are being taken, they expect this all to go smoothly, and they, too, have told us in our interviews yesterday and speaking with people on the phone today, theyre excited for his arrival here, and theyre looking forward to it.
