Officers noticed that moving truck with georgia plates parked outside the marriot hotel. Louise standing barely 4 feet tall and legally blind couldnt even make out her attacker. They told me its a woman, not a man of it its a woman. I was kind of surprised. I said this man has bushy hairs. It was a woman. Surveillance video dough. Then she was caught by police less than a day later. 4 investigates uncovered Sharon Mcneil has a criminal record back to 1984 for narcotics, assault and prostitution among others. Investigators say she gave birkt to a healthy baby girl on thursday morning, and then covered the childs mouth with her hand. The babys body was found in a plastic garbage bag. Homeless man is clinging to life after a fight at a manhattan shelter. Police say 55yearold Edwin Hernandez got into an argument with a 69yearold victim at the third street mens shelter yesterday. It turned physical. The victim hit his head. Hernandez faced a judge on 50,000 bail. This incident just the latest in a series of Violent Attacks at homeless shelters in the city. In january, a 62yearold man was fatally stabbed in the neck. Weeks later a mother and her three children were stabbed while living at a ramada inn posing as a shelter. A 2yearold girl was the only survivor there. The city has been working to increase security at shelters. The department of Homeless Services released a statement on the recent incident saying no weapon was involved and a guard was on the scene and tried to stop the fight but was unfortunately unable to stop the blow that caused the victim to call and hit his head.
