Kristin many people walking by are stopping to take a look at the loss here on market street. As you can see the building which has been roped off with caution tape. Many are in disbelief that this has happened and the neighboring businesses say they are now concerned for the restaurants employees. Clean up inside the gas light has begun. A devastating fire tore through the well known restaurant in dowtown portsmouth wednesday. It sits on market street. Our first reaction was to make sure that everyone in here and over there was safe and unfortunately it does sound like are doing everything we can to help out, fed them while they were waiting to get their stuff out and stuff. Thankfully everybody in here was thankfully everybody in here was just fine and we weren t affected and we are going to do everything we can to help them.
