You can use any type of apple that you want, and were going to cut about eight mediumsized ones, peel them, core them, cut them up in to chunks and put them in a pie plate and then were going to start with a bowl, with twothirds of a cup of granulated sugar, were going to use one cup of dark brown full flavor and then a cup of white flour and a little bit of cinnamon, depending on your tastes, a couple of tablespoons, and were just going to mix that up slightly and then were going to add softened butter to it and thats what makes it good, the pure real good butter and had three quarters of a stick of butter. So many fun things to do with the apples this time of year. But this is a classic everybody loves. It is. You just mix it up, the kids can help you because theres no if the butter is hard, get your fingers in there and crumble it up and once its all stirred up and mixed to consistency, you can just pour it over the top of the apples and pop it in the oven and youre going to bake it for 50 minutes to an hour at 350.
