Look at that cold air coming so your highs today only going to be topping off in the Single Digits and teens. That does not include the wind. Pretty much all weekend long. That teen is in a hospital with siver injuries. Also now, an armed robber on the loose in concord. Investigators are asking for help. Officers responded to the brookside pizza 3 rest raunlt on manchester street just before 8 30. The suspect showed a darkcolored hand gun before taking off. This morning relief for a 17yearold girl who investigate sares was harassed for months by a man. This week. Police say this was a disturbing case of harassment where two strangers showed up at the victims home looking for sex. 30yearold jason hunt ser accused of harassing and coworker. Since december the man bothered the girl through text email and facebook. He was sending her some sort of messages regarding sexual activity. Kind of just harassing threatening. Pligs say the situation came to a head last weekend when two men showed up at the victims home in response to an online ad soliciting sex. I believe at this point that the suspect had placed an ad on craigs list soliciting a sexual encounter and the gentleman that responded to that ad were the one that is showed up. It got to a point where it was overwhelming. Youre dealing with a 17yearold girl probably not as concerned as somebody else might have been. The managers confirm hunter and the victim worked together here. She says the girl also reported the harassment to her super visors who in turn called the police. The two were just acquaitances. She doesnt have any idea why it transpired but they were not in any sort of relationship. If faced with a similar Situation Police say to call them right away. They say hunter use it had victims personal information against her. When you put stuff on line what you put on line is very important. This gentleman could have probably and did learn a lot about this girl from her social media postings. I think its very good information to try and stay as private as you possibly can. He was arained on friday morning and is being held on 5,000 cash bail. He will be back in court next month. Safe this morning after a dream cruise to the bahamas turned into a nightmare. There is a chance you can see a flake or two because a cold front is rolling through the state this morning. It may generate a random flurry or two. Otherwise we turn increasingly sunny and windy with colder temperatures streaming on in. That means falling temperatures this afternoon. So after highs around these levels teens to Single Digits from south to north. The temperatures get even colder this afternoon and you know theyre getting cold tonight and windy too. At this hour police are searching for the driver of a truck with New Hampshire license plates who they believe intentionally hit a 15yearold on a bicycle. This happened just before 2 00 friday afternoon. Witnesses telling police the boy on the bike had been talking to the people in the truck before he rode away and the driver aggressively followed. Now that teen is in a boston hospital with severe injuries. Also now an armed robber in the louis in concord. Brookside pizza 3 restaurant in manchester street just before 8 30 last night. The suspect showed a dark colored handgun. Hes described as a white man and white scarf over his face. Please contact Concord Police. This morning relief for a 17yearold girl who investigators say was harassed for months. Officers arrested jason hunter this week. Police say this was a disturbing case of harassment that got to the point where two strangers apparently showed up at the victims home looking for sex. 30yearold jason hunter is accused of harassing and stalking his 17yearold female coworkerer. Since december the man allegedly bothered the girl through text email and facebook. He was sending her some sort of messages regarding sexual activity. Kind of just harassing threatening, want to kill yourself. Rsh the situation came to a head last weekend when two men in response to an online ad soliciting sex. I believe at this point the suspect placed an ad soliciting sexual encounter. And the gentleman that responded to that ad were the one that is showed up. The girl contacted police after that incident. It got to a point where it was overwhelming. Youre dealing with a 17yearold girl probably not as concerned as somebody had been a little longer had been. The manager confirms hunter and the victim worked together here. She says the girl also reported the harassment to her supervisors who in turn called the police. The two were just acquaitances. She doesnt have any idea why it transpired this way. If faced with a similar Situation Police say to call them right away to prevent it from getting worse. They say hunter used the victims personal information against her. When you put stuff on line what you put on line is very important. This gentleman could and probably did learn a lot about this girl and i think its very can. Hunter was arrained on friday morning and is being held on 5,000 cash bail. He will be back in court next month. Family is home safe this morning after a dream cruise to nightmare. Three generations of the nick ols family were on board the storm. The captain ordered all 4,000 on board to stay inside their rooms for nine hours they hunk dangered down as everything loose was tossed about. It appears it could be the last chapter in its 1139 year history. 139 year history. I ran through the room and into the finishing room thats when i noticed the fire above me on the second floor. Which is where the last four driers of its kind in the world were actually running. They were still running while the fire was going. A mill that once employed dozens now had three workers left. The building couldnt be insured and in fact the owner had just signed papers to sell. Investigators believe that suv dislodged the manhole cover, sending it through the air and into the windshield. The department of transportation is now reinspecting 500 sewer gates, utility panels and Manhole Covers on highways in boston. Right now a deadly officerinvolved shooting in boston in under investigation. Police say they shot and killed a man yesterday morning after he pointed a gun at them. Investigators say two men were shot inside a home before police arrived. A third man took off from the scene and that s when officers confronted him. The shooting victims are being treated at a local hospital, it s unclear this morning what prompted the incident. A Granite Stater is suing after he says he was burned by an exploded in his pocket. Matthew gilson claims the lithium battery, the power pocket. Power source for his vaporizer blew up in his pocket. After two surgeries and two weeks in the hospital, gilson says he is still in pain, and it could be up to a year before he is fully healed. This cold front is pushing through the state. The big impact as the cold cold weather that is cross in the great lakes. This is the very beginning of a storm system coming ashore in northern parts of United States and northwestern u. S. In terms of conditions out there, clouds are breaking for some sunshine, with that cold front sneaks through today. The wind picks up and the temperatures head downwards. Highpressure tomorrow means sunshine, but windy and the next weather system comes ashore on the west coast, but makes it here by monday night into tuesday. It will turn into rain and freezing rain on tuesday. As because a cold front is rolling through and bringing in season. T get quite that cold today. Tonight, it could in some spots. Your highs for today, not a we are right now. And then they fall, a little move them up a couple of degrees. Then they fall this afternoon in the wind will be a big factor. The company says the extreme cold makes it even more critical to get the power back on if it goes out. Eversource says its crews are ready to work outside if needed. We have folks who are especially on call overnight to respond to any problems so that if power should go out for any reason at all, we can get it back on as quickly as possible. Amy if you have any power issues this weekend, eversource says to call them and they ll in boston overnight, the mbta ran empty commuter trains. Officials say they do this to prevent mechanical issues caused by the extreme cold. Amy at this hour, police in lowell massachusetts are searching for the driver of a truck with New Hampshire plates, who they believe intentionally hit a 15yearold on a bicycle. It happened just before 2 00 friday afternoon. Witnesses told police the boy on the bike had been talking to the people in the truck before he rode away and the driver aggressively followed. Right now, that teen is at a boston hospital with severe injuries. Also now an armed robber is on , the loose in concord and now investigators are asking for the public s help. Officers responded to the brookside pizzathree restaurant on manchester street just before 8 30 last night. The suspect showed a dark colored handgun before taking off. He s described as a white male, about 5 10 in his late 20 s or early 30 a white scarf over his face. If you have any information, please call Concord Police at 2258600. This morning, relief for a 17yearold girl who investigators say was harassed for months by a man from nashua. Officers arrested jason hunter this week. Wmur s mike cronin reports from hollis, where the victim lives. Mike police say this was a disturbing case of harassment that got to the point where two strangers apparently showed up to the girl s house, looking for sex. 30yearold jason hunter is accused of harassing and stalking his 17yearold female coworker. Since december, the nashua man allegedly bothered the girl through text, email, and facebook. He was sending her some sort of messages regarding sexual activity, just harassing, threatening, why don t you kill yourself, things of that nature. Mike police say the situation came to a head last weekend, when two men showed up the victim s hollis home, in soliciting sex. Believe at this point that the suspect had placed an ad on craigslist soliciting sexual encounter with a male of some sort, and the gentlemen who responded to that ad were the ones who showed up at her residence. Mike the girl contacted police after that incident. It got to a point where it was overwhelming for her. And again, you re dealing with a 17yearold girl, probably not as concerned as somebody who had been around a little longer would ve been. Mike the manager of kohl s in nashua confirms hunter and the victim worked together here. She says the girl also reported the harassment to her supervisors, who in turn, called hollis police. The two were just acquaintances. She doesn t have any idea why it transpired this way but they were not in any sort of relationship. Mike if faced with a similar situation, police say to call them right away to prevent it from getting worse. They say hunter used the victim s personal information against her. When you put stuff online, what you put online is very important. This gentleman could and probably did learn a quite a bit about this girl from her social media postings. And i think it information to try to stay as private as you possibly can. Mike hunter was arraigned friday morning and is being held on 5,000 cash bail. He ll be back in court next month. In hollis, mike cronin, wmur news 9. Amy a family from epping is home safe this morning, after a dream cruise to the bahamas turned into a nightmare. Three generations of the Nichols Family were on board the anthem of the seas. The ship was pummeled by a powerful storm. The captain ordered all 4,000 on board to stay in their rooms. For nine hours the nichols hunkered down, as everything loose was tossed. I didn t think about like, if i had to say goodbye to anybody because the captain said t scared. Amy the ship returned to new jersey late wednesday. Already planning to take a makeup cruise this fall. Shoe peg mill in the world, is a pile of ashes. Bartlett went up in flames late friday afternoon. As wmur s tom griffith tells us, it appears it could be the last chapter in its 139 year history. Tom owner paul soares was working in the front of the 34,000 square foot mill when a passerby yelled the back of the mill was on fire. I ran through the saw room, then through the point and splitting room and that s when i noticed the fire above me. On the second floor and thats where the last few dryers of its kind in the world were running and they were running while the fire was going. Tom a mill that once employed dozens, now had just three workers left. The building couldn t be insured, in fact soares who has owned it since 2001 had just signed papers to sell. Originally the peg mills made wooden pegs to hold the soles and heels on the shoes and then s and the peg business went down hill. There use to be 26 peg mills in tom there was a fire in 1910. And soares has put out a small fire since he owned it. But in a place with so much saw dust and wood product as an ignition source, efforts to save it were too little too late. And then fall through the midday and afternoon hours. The wind is still fairly light out there, 5, 10, to 15 miles an hour. Into the middle part of the day, the wind is picking up, the red and orange is showing where the wind could gust over 20, 25, 30 Miles Per Hour this afternoon. And tonight as well. Cameras on the highway show an suv changing lanes. Investigators believe that suv dislodged the manhole cover, sending it through the air and into the windshield. The department of transportation gates, utility panels and Manhole Covers on highways in boston. A deadly officerinvolved shooting in boston in under investigation. Police say they shot and killed a man yesterday morning after he pointed a gun at them. Investigators say two men were shot inside a home before police arrived. A third man took off from the scene and that s when officers confronted him. The shooting victims are being treated at a local hospital, it s unclear this morning what prompted the incident. In commitment 2016 coverage now, focus in the Granite State has now shifted to the u. S. Senate race. And both senator kelly ayotte and governor Maggie Hassan are pointing fingers at each other over the people s pledge. The people s pledge is a formal agreement between candidates to keep third party money out of the campaigns. And as we first reported thursday the republican senator called on hassan to sign the pledge. But instead of signing it hassan made a counter offer, suggesting spending cap for each campaign. Ayotte rejected hassan s proposal, and the governor called it business as usual washington, d. C. Style. Governor hassan senator ayotte sent out a statement that indicates she s taking the lead from washington and saying take it or leave it to me. This is the last debate before South Carolina voters head to look at how candidates are trying to keep their momentum. We should in many of these areas rise at least to the lower teens for a brief time this morning before those temperatures plummet through the midday and afternoon hours. The big story, the biggest impact on these winds is how cold makes it feel, as it will be making it feel like it s about whatever these winds are, that much below zero. Meaning you could be 32 below zero feels like temperature at this time overnight come early tomorrow morning. Keep that in mind, just a rough guide, gives you a rough idea of how much below zero it could be. Let s take a look at other factors. The clouds and sunshine out there right now, as we go diminish in the sunshine increases. This colder that s bottled up in canada, we opened up the top of the bottle and we re letting it for out. It hasn t done so too many times in most of the year, that cold air has been bottled up next to el nio effects in canada. It s allowed to fall down into new england this weekend. Some clouds and flurries possible today, a cold front rolls through the state, that kicks up the wind for today. Highpressure and control tomorrow as well. The wind columns a little in the afternoon, it s overhead and then pulls away on monday. A bright start allows clouds in monday night, and some snow moving in. The big question is this area of low pressure in the warm front. How far into the state does it go .
