Later tonight, temperatures may cool in extreme northern parts of the state. Again, a good 8090 of the precipitation from this system through thursday morning will likely be in the form of rain shower activity. It is as the system pulls away that the northern half or third of the state may see it go over to wet snowflakes before wrapping up. The warm spot, as we mentioned, is mount washington. Last day of chillier air. Within a few degrees of where we were yesterday at this time. Temperatures into the afternoon will get a couple of degrees warmer. Yesterday, it was highs in the 30 s. Temperatures in the southwestern half of the state will be in upper 30 s to near 40. Temperatures will hover in that direction as rain showers move through. There may be patchy areas of drizzle in far Northern Areas of this eight. There will be a couple of showers, which could move through at any point. Later tomorrow evening, we will see the next round of showers moving through. As that goes by, just enough cool air on the backside of that on thursday to see a few inches of accumulation.
