Tom tonight authorities investigating the threat that shut down the greenfield elementary school, the superintendent says the threat targetedded a staff member and to ensure the safety of everyone, classes were canceled. Kristen carosa live there tonight with more. Reporter the staff member received the threat before heading to school. That person called police and the school took some action. Once they heard what school. The decision was made during the bus commute, so the kids were taken to oak park. Parents were notified to go there and pick up the kids. No other details were given about the actual threat, but the school says the students are not at risk. If thereof is ever a threat we have to take even slightly interest of students and staff. Reporter the school will be holding a meeting here at 6 30 monday night for parents with questions or concerns. Jennifer now to manchester where West High School was evacuated after students reported feeling sick. The football field was turned into a triage area. That rest leclerc is live now with more. Reporter it was all traced back to a solution that on the gymnasium floor. Officials say it causes nausea and dizziness. West High School Students about 950 of them were forced to evacuate to the Athletic Field after sickening fumes spread through the school. The students were complaining primarily of headaches and difficulty breathing. The one student that was taken in was taken for chest pain. Reporter after investigating, fire Officials Say they determined it was a floor care product being put on the gym scene checking if any students had any medical issues. We determined there was one student and one teacher that were both brought to the hospital. Reporter they were treated and are expected to be okay. Meantime, firefighters went through the school, conducting readings to make sure air quality levels were returned to normal. It took about an hour and a half using these giant fans to help ventilate the hallways. School officials praised the students followed protocol, making the Emergency Response easier for everyone. The fire department, the medical team and everyone here, they did an incredible job. Our principal, our students, they were so well behaved. And im very impressed in how it went.
