Authorities pulled a body from the Merrimack River in massachusetts. The body has not yet been positively identified, but Nashua Police say the initial investigation indicates it was jacob. Nashua Police Believe it is the body they have been searching for. 16yearold jacob goulet was reported missing by his parents saturday after he didnt return home from visiting a friends home on friday night. Nashua police also received a tip from a passerby on friday night about an open storm drain on main street. A citizen in the area noted personal items nearby. Several people in the area were interviewed. No one witnessed anyone falling in. Kristen despite that authorities believe that goulet , fell down the storm drain. A massive search started saturday. This afternoon, a Massachusetts State Police helicopter spotted a body in the Merrimack River in tyngsboro, massachusetts. Right now, Nashua Police say it appears to be goulets body waiting for an official i. D. The medical examiner makes a positive identification. It will have to be done by the massachusetts medical examiners office. Kristen as soon as we have that information, we will bring it to you. Right now, there are about a halfdozen young people in a circle on top of the storm drain jacob might have fallen into on friday. They are sitting together consg worked on that storm drain cover securing it as nashua officials continue to investigate what happened. His friends and classmates at Nashua High School north are dealing with these difficult developments. The School Principal says they are putting together a list of his friends and reaching out to them. They will also send out a note later today to parents to update them on the situation. Tomorrow morning, School Officials and counselors will meet before speaking with students. Over this situation. I have kids, 14 and 20. As a parent, i would hope somebody would care about my kid. We feel so badly for the family, his parents, the kids who know him at the high school. We have asked the school has grief counselors available for the kids at Nashua High School north.
