Ambulance crew, refused transport. Kristen he was awoken just in time. Once the firefighters arrived, the flames swept fast. We had crews internally to stop it. It got up into the attic and quickly spread throughout the rest of the building. At that point we had to pull our crews out. Kristen more than 60 firefighters came to help, water had to be shuttled in from over a mile away. The amount of fire there was in that old of a building, it was an uphill battle. Kristen the building has been torn down for safety. It was built in 1935 according to the historical society. Im upset, it was a beautiful home. Kristen ted keating lives down the road and been inside a few times. It was like an old hunting lodge, it was elegant. Kristen the owner did host dinner a few times a week. Two evenings, wednesday and thursday evenings he would have a dinner that he would put on, he and some help and people would come up with reservations and eat. Kristen the Fire Marshals Office and Police Department will investigate what caused the fire. So many homes have burned down, its sad. We have an older homes ourselves, it makes me think. So in those areas where you see the yellow colors and that peach color, thats where we have either abnormally dry, so in the yellow areas or the peach color, you have whats called a moderate drought. That continues even now, so we made at least a little dent in in Drought Conditions in those areas. As far as manchester goes this gives you a good idea. Since september 1, we have had 6. 18 inches of rainfall. We are actually down over three inches of rain when you compare to where we should be in time in the fall. We still have a ways to go. He is helping to race awareness for a new effort to build a memorial in boscawen to the grin its state servicemen who made the ultimate sacrifice in the war on terror. It serves several purposes. Also for those that are left behind, you never get over the loss, it helps you lives with it, right, so thats why it was more than for me to get involved. Adam pitts understands what it means to lose loved ones in war. They came under attack in july 2007, 48 u. S. Soldiers faced down 200 sergeants. Pitts manning a forward observation post suffered near fatal wounds in the attack but fought on, at one point almost singlehandedly keeping the enemy at bay. It wasnt like i think i was going to die, i knew i was going to die. Adam four fellow soldiers reached him but a round of explosions left them wounded. Changed three guys lives forever in terms of wounds, one gave his life, left behind a wife and the rest of a loving family for me. Adam fine soldiers died that day. When pitts received the medal of honor, he was thinking of them. When the president was putting the award on, i was thinking about the guys. I was thinking directly in front of me the families, off to my left are almost all of the guys that were on the ground that day and im just, at that time im thinking about all of them. Adam while pitts story is unique, the sacrifices he and his fellow soldiers are not. He is throwing his support behind this global terror memorial in boscawen. Its not about the servicemember on the wall and honoring their sacrifice, it honors the sacrifice that the family made and it shows the loved ones that their sacrifice hasnt been forgotten. Adam this advocate is leading to build the memorial, the hope is to unveil it next september. I personally escorted two gold star mothers over to the the memorial and they were definitely very, they appreciate what were doing. Adam pitts says it will stand as a solemn reminder of what a select few are willing to sacrifice for all of us. Think about the things that you enjoy every day, whether thats spending time with your children, being able to cook out in the backyard and get together with family and friends, enjoy holidays. All of those things are something that someone else gave up forever so we can have it.
