no concerns whatsoever in the parkville area. it will be nice and clear just 11 minutes on that outer loop from 95 all the way up towards 83. and the major traffic story is all of the construction that is now underway on 895. and abc2 linda so is live in south baltimore this morning to tell us how traffic is shaping up. good morning linda. how does it look so far? >> reporter: well, things right now look fine. the morning traffic, this is the southbound lanes heading into the what are bar tunnel and you can see -- harbor tunnel and you can see no backups right now. not quite into the height of the morning rush just yet. but i did speak with some construction crews about an hour ago. they tell me that the construction is just beyond the harbor tunnel and the southbound lanes across the poll plaza. and -- toll plaza. and they have it narrowed down to one lane. just remember that for the morning rush. crews are resurfacing the steel bridge just south of the tunnel. one lane will be closed for the next eight weeks and then in august, things will get worse. one lane in each direction will be shut down. that means you should expect major backups going both ways. so again your best bet avoid the harbor tunnel, instead take 695 and the key bridge or 95 and the fort mchenry tunnel. back out here live though things are smooth but mdta says just avoid the area altogether because as we get into the morning and evening rush, things crowd get a little dicey. live at the harbor tunnel, linda so, abc2 news. thanks. a vigil will be held tonight to remember a teen who died last week. 17-year-old christopher brown was killed after an off-duty county officer chased him down and they got into a physical fight. it starts at 7:00 to 8:00 at the randalltown high school. police say the officer administered cpr but brown was pronounced dead at northwest hospital. he is on leave while the investigation continues this morning. this morning baltimore city police will be going door to door trying to get more information on a shooting death that happened earlier this month. 18-year-old vernon williams was found shot at green mountain avenue and 21st street. he later on died at the hospital. police have very little informs to go on and they do -- information to go on and they hope it will give them more information. they'll be at the 400 block of east 21st street if you have any information they're asking that you please call them. dozens of korean american grocery store owners say they're being unfairly targeted by city officials. a new plan advocated by the city's health and planning departments would force stores selling liquor to move into commercial areas rezoned so to speak to stop selling liquor. the store owners say they can't afford this of the jerry sandusky sex abuse case will begin this morning a day after the defense rested. sandusky is accused of sexually abusing ten boys during a 15 year time span. he has pleaded not guilty to 51 separate counts, abc2's sherrie johnson is here with more. >> reporter: well, charlie closing arguments start in just a few hours in the high-profile case. jerry sandusky didn't stake the stand and an aattorney for one of the victims said the defense failed to confront the charges head-on. some character witnesses who met sandusky as children through his charity the second mile, did take the stand on wednesday. the final witness now 21 years old said that sandusky was a father figure to him. he testified that nothing sexual ever happened between him and sandusky during the more than 50 overnight stays at sandusky's house. he also said he felt pressured by investigators to say something that wasn't true. >> here, we didn't see one reputation of the precise charges which were leveled by i of evidence. the only person who could have come forward and said this didn't happen in this particular case under these circumstances was mr. sandusky. and he chose not to do it. >> reporter: now closing arguments are set to begin this morning at 9:00. the jury is expected to begin deliberations right after that. sherrie johnson, abc2 news. news time right now 5:45. morgan state university ranks sixth on a list of america's most crime riddled colleges, this is according to a survey. they had 95 burglaries and 15 car thefts. school officials said that they were up aware of the -- unaware of the report. the most dangerous college in the nation if you're curious was the university of alabama huntsville. baltimore's archbishop will open the religious liberty effort with a mass at the basilica of the national shrine of the assumption. the reverend will celebrate the mass to open two weeks of prayer and advocacy oh fusted on religious -- focused on religious liberty. a fourth of july mass for the shrine and that's an effort in response to mandate that employers provide health insurance that includes birth control for workers. the maryland transit administration is now teaming arundel county. now it's called the deaf blind camp of maryland. the place where they can step outside and the comfort zone physically and mentally. it's located in west river. the camp encourages campers with total and partial hearing and vision loss to step outside and enjoy nature on a way they may have never done before. >> it's an opportunity for people to shine and really show their
