showers. there it is across the heavier part of our state. virginia side of 95. overall we expect a new round of thunderstorms. 89 is our 2-degree guaranteed high. let's see what's happening on the roads with alexis. >> thanks, justin, as you were saying, earlier rain coming through the area. not causing problems on i-97 up toward the beltway. >> things are looking really good flowing freely with no problems to report. elsewhere around our area, camera showing the harris -- it's not going to that camera just yet. let's look at our drive times, nine america minute ride from route 100 to 395. southbound 29 from route 70 to route 32. nine-minute ride there. >> alexis, it's now 6:01. fans were just getting into their seats at camden yards. tourists were just settling in for dinner and a man and woman in a hotel room couldn't talk it out. linda sow with a fourth floor fight that led to gunfire. >> reporte jamie, police say the couple had checked in on monday at the hilton. last night they got into some sort of argument. shots were fired and the man and woman had to be taken to local hospitals. police responded to the hilton hotel at around 7:00 last night. when they got here, they found a woman in her 20s who police say shot her boyfriend in the stomach with a 40 caliber handgun. he was taken to shock trauma and is expected to be okay. the woman had cuts on her back and was taken to a local hospital. >> the woman has a very minor criminal history, but that the uh, the victim, the male victim has a much more substantial local criminal history that we're looking into. >> reporter: police say the woman is the registered owner of the handgun. she faced attempted murder and handgun charges. it appears her boyfriend has several open warrants. both live in baltimore. the good news here is that no other hotel guests were injured in the shooting. live in downtown baltimore, linda sow, abc2 news. going to get your car at the impound lot is worse than going for a route canal. it's painful and costly. it didn't have to be like this. sherrie johnson with news of an off duty police officer hurt by a ticked off driver. sherrie? >> doing well. great monday, little shaky on tuesday. the economy versus earnings continuing. >> this is a question from william from essex here. he doesn't understand deflation like the rest of us. seems to be the newest concern about the future of our economy. prices drop, things are cheaper, sounds good to me. work your magic and explain. work your magic right now. >> thank you very much. fine compliment. deflation is the dropping in, in general prices, that's goods and services. that happens on a widespread basis. that doesn't seem like a bad thing. so we're earning the same thing and suddenly goods are cheaper, sounds great. here's where it becomes a problem. if you were buying, my washer went up last night, very excited, if i know a washer is going get cheaper and cheaper, i may wait. this is what happened in japan in the late 90s. so if everybody thinks that prices will go lower and lower and lower, they will wait to purchase. this is called the deflationry spiral. that means businesses aren't selling goodsd services and they lose profits, they lay off people, terrible spiral to go through. the other problem is that although wages may stay the same, debt is at the same time going up and as wages drop with deflation, some of your debt payments are the same, but your wages are dropping and debt becomes a serious problem. so the deflationry spiral, predicting the prices dropping and holding back and also the debt problem are serious concerns. in this environment, deflation hasn't really happened since the depression. i don't see this as an issue. the fed can simply increase the money supply as they've been doing the last year = that shouldn't be a problem. although it's being talked a lot, it's being talked about a lot right now, i don't see deflation as being a serious concern. >> tracy, from your house. when are we going to buy the washer?
