with that actic -- arctic frigid air, there's the band of moisture we showed you just a little while ago. a little moisture back towards the south. and this line is what is dividing the moisture spread of clouds from the southern system. a wintery mix will try to build in. it will be on the light side and mostly flurries and sleet pel frets west to easton. -- pellets from west to easton. skies going from clear to partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. flurries trying to build in during the afternoon. you see a few late day flakes, don't worry about it. 30 to 32 degrees. up to an inch overnight before we mix over. look at this, we are at 27. we have the arctic air to the north. single digits up towards most of pennsylvania. and you have 40s and 50s to the south. that's the battle line. and now it is set the stage, we have developing pressure. the track is west of the appalachians which is the spread between warmer air that pulls east, and the coarld air on the west side. and because this tracks to the west, we will get the warm air. but a lot of icing in between. we will get the icing, but the question is how much before we turn over. what often happens is the cold air locks tight around the northern chesapeake near baltimore. and then back along i-70. that's what we expect this go around. we have late day flurries. overnight through the morning, we will have light snow and sleet. the icing problem will be more widespread. but we may wind up with dry hours during the day or drizzle. temperatures above or below freezing. i think the cold air hangs tight near baltimore with the winter storm watch. southern sections may crack into the mid-30s and safely above freezing. the real moisture comes in by wednesday morning. that's in the form of heavy rain. is that's where we have snow melt and flooding. today, 32 and increasing clouds. we will check out rest of the forecast in a few minutes. kim will check on traffic. >> now, the 24-hour traffic authority brought to you by toyota. >> reporter: justin, right now, not much traffic to check on. traffic moving very well around 695. a live look through towson at providence road, no major problems or delays. all lanes open on both spans of the bay bridge. 50 and 97 both incident free right now. no problems on 95 coming out ofharford county towards the beltway and further down on towards baltimore and howard county. traffic is moving very well this morning. no reported incidents right now. now back to you. >> thanks a lot. it's 5:20. entertainment news this morning. julie from ruxton is a sag winner. her show you can see on abc2 "modern family" won for best overall performance. the screen actors geld aword is the -- actors guild award is a prize. anthony hopkins exorcism thriller "possessed" was the top spot. it day viewed at number one but fell short of earnings with dhar 15 million. that was good -- with $15 million. that was good enough to push "second chance" to second place. >> you saw the "king's speech." >> i did and it was great. >> you know, we will have to see the rest of them. you know, it's january, but not too early to put your tax information together. >> yeah. coming up, we have information for you on where to find free help to get your taxes done with the least bit of hassle possible. one million egyptian protesters and one new message from their president. i am emily schmidt in washington. the day's latest developments coming up. mr. perdue! mr. perdue! what does it mean that perdue is the first chicken company to have a usda process verified program?
