This is the plant and ill just pull it out and take it out and the edible portion is this bulb here. Its got kind of a mild, sweet flavor and the plant is similar to a cabbage. So this bulb here is gonna be fixed up in many different ways. And its similar to a cabbage heart is. Clip the leaves off like this and obviously, we would wash it up to get any dirt and stuff off. And just like that, heres what we have left. And this little bulb here, you can cook it like you do a cabbage heart or you can actually cut it up, might want to cut some more around it. But you can cut this up raw into some salads. So theres a number of different ways that you can fix this. And this is a particular type of plant that i cant pronounce. Its got a latin name. I can tell you were going to give this a try and see how it does. Dont have any other plants that are ready for harvesting except for kale. We have been clipping the leaves and use them in salads. Ways. Two kales that we are growing here in the garden. And other things in the process of maturing, probably the next thing that well harvest here is going to be the red cabbage.
